Psalms 89:1I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. An instruction, by Ethan the Ezrahite. Of the kind acts of Jehovah, to the age I sing, To all generations I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth,<Maschil. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.> My song will be of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make his faith clear to all generations.Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
Psalms 89:2For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. For I said, `To the age is kindness built, The heavens! Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness in them.`For you have said, Mercy will be made strong for ever; my faith will be unchanging in the heavens.For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness wilt thou establish in the very heavens.
Psalms 89:3I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to David My servant:I have made an agreement with the man of my selection, I have made an oath to David my servant;I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to David my servant,
Psalms 89:4Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.`Even to the age do I establish thy seed, And have built to generation and generation thy throne. Psalms 89:6For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?For who in the sky, Compareth himself to Jehovah? Is like to Jehovah among sons of the mighty?For who is there in the heavens in comparison with the Lord? who is like the Lord among the sons of the gods?For who in the heaven can be compared to the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?
Psalms 89:7God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.God is greatly to be feared among the saints, and to be honoured over all those who are about him.God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence by all them that are about him.
Psalms 89:8O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?O Jehovah, God of Hosts, Who [is] like Thee a strong Jah? Psalms 89:9Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.Thou [art] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them.You have rule over the sea in storm; when its waves are troubled, you make them calm.Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.
Psalms 89:10Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.Thou hast bruised Rahab, as one wounded. With the arm of Thy strength Thou hast scattered Thine enemies.Rahab was crushed by you like one wounded to death; with your strong arm you put to flight all your haters.Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thy enemies with thy strong arm.

Psalms 89:17For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.For the beauty of their strength [art] Thou, And in Thy good will is our horn exalted,For you are the glory of their strength; in your pleasure will our horn be lifted up.For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favor our horn shall be exalted.
Psalms 89:18For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.For of Jehovah [is] our shield, And of the Holy One of Israel our king.For our breastplate is the Lord; and our king is the Holy One of Israel's.For the LORD is our defense; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Psalms 89:19Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.Then Thou hast spoken in vision, To Thy saint, yea, Thou sayest, I have placed help upon a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,Then your voice came to your holy one in a vision, saying, I have put the crown on a strong one, lifting up one taken from among the people.Then thou didst speak in vision to thy holy one, and say, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

Psalms 89:21With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.With whom My hand is established, My arm also doth strengthen him.My hand will be his support; my arm will give him strength.With whom my hand shall be established: my arm also shall strengthen him.
Psalms 89:22The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. An enemy exacteth not upon him, And a son of perverseness afflicteth him not.The deceit of those who are against him will not overcome him; he will not be troubled by the sons of evil.The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Psalms 89:23And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.And I have beaten down before him his adversaries, And those hating him I plague,I will have those who are against him broken before his face, and his haters will be crushed under my blows.And I will beat down his foes before his face, and afflict them that hate him.

Psalms 89:30If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;If his sons forsake My law, And in My judgments do not walk;If his children give up my law, and are not ruled by my decisions;If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
Psalms 89:31If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;If My statutes they pollute, And My commands do not keep,If my rules are broken, and my orders are not kept;If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Psalms 89:32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity,Then I will send punishment on them for their sin; my rod will be the reward of their evil-doing.Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

Psalms 89:35Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.Once I have sworn by My holiness, I lie not to David,I have made an oath once by my holy name, that I will not be false to David.Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie to David.
Psalms 89:36His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me.His seed is to the age, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,His seed will not come to an end for ever; the seat of his kingdom will be like the sun before me.His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
Psalms 89:37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.As the moon it is established to the age, And the witness in the sky is stedfast. Psalms 89:38But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.And Thou, Thou hast cast off, and dost reject, Thou hast shown Thyself wroth With Thine anointed,But you have put him away in disgust; you have been angry with the king of your selection.But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thy anointed.
