Psalms 41:1Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. O the happiness of him Who is acting wisely unto the poor, In a day of evil doth Jehovah deliver him.Unto the end, understanding for the sons of Core.Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.
Psalms 41:2The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.Jehovah doth preserve him and revive him, He is happy in the land, And Thou givest him not into the will of his enemies. As the hart panteth after the fountains of water; so my soul panteth after thee, O God.Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive, And he shall be blessed upon the earth; And deliver not thou him unto the will of his enemies.
Psalms 41:3The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.Jehovah supporteth on a couch of sickness, All his bed Thou hast turned in his weakness. My soul hath thirsted after the strong living God; when shall I come and appear before the face of God?Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing: Thou makest all his bed in his sickness.
Psalms 41:4I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.I I said, `O Jehovah, favour me, Heal my soul, for I did sin against Thee,`My tears have been any bread day and night, whilst it is said to me daily : Where is thy God?I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me: Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
Psalms 41:5Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?Mine enemies say evil of me: When he dieth his name hath perished! These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me : for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God : With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting.Mine enemies speak evil against me, [saying], When will he die, and his name perish?
Psalms 41:6And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.And if he came to see vanity he speaketh, His heart gathereth iniquity to itself, He goeth out at the street he speaketh. Why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou trouble me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him : the salvation of my countenance,And if he come to see [me], he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
Psalms 41:7All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt. All hating me whisper together against me, Against me they devise evil to me:and my God. My soul is troubled within myself : therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan and Hermoniim, from the little hill. All that hate me whisper together against me; Against me do they devise my hurt.
Psalms 41:8An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.A thing of Belial is poured out on him, And because he lay down he riseth not again.Deep calleth on deep, at the noise of thy flood-gates. All thy heights and thy billows have passed over me.An evil disease, [say they], cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
Psalms 41:9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. Even mine ally, in whom I trusted, One eating my bread, made great the heel against me,In the daytime the Lord hath commanded his mercy; and a canticle to him in the night. With me is prayer to the God of my life.Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Who did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me.
Psalms 41:10But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them. And Thou, Jehovah, favour me, And cause me to rise, And I give recompence to them.I will say to God : Thou art my support. Why hast thou forgotten me? and why go I mourning, whilst my enemy afflicteth me?But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them.
Psalms 41:11By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. By this I have known, That Thou hast delighted in me, Because my enemy shouteth not over me.Whilst my bones are broken, my enemies who trouble me have reproached me; Whilst they say to me day be day : Where is thy God?By this I know that thou delightest in me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
Psalms 41:12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. As to me, in mine integrity, Thou hast taken hold upon me, And causest me to stand before Thee to the age.Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope thou in God, for I will still give praise to him : the salvation of my countenance, and my God.And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever.
Psalms 41:13Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.Blessed [is] Jehovah, God of Israel, From the age and unto the age. Amen and Amen.Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. Book II Psalm 42 For the Chief Musician. Maschil of the sons of Korah.
