| Psalms 91:1 | He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. | He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, In the shade of the Mighty lodgeth habitually, | A psalm of a canticle on the sabbath day. | Happy is he whose resting-place is in the secret of the Lord, and under the shade of the wings of the Most High; |
| Psalms 91:2 | I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. | He is saying of Jehovah, `My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,` | It is good to give praise to the Lord: and to sing to thy name, O most High. | Who says of the Lord, He is my safe place and my tower of strength: he is my God, in whom is my hope. |
| Psalms 91:3 | Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. | For He delivereth thee from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence. | To shew forth thy mercy in the morning, and thy truth in the night: | He will take you out of the bird-net, and keep you safe from wasting disease. |

| Psalms 91:6 | Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. | Of pestilence in thick darkness that walketh, Of destruction that destroyeth at noon, | O Lord, how great are thy works! thy thoughts are exceeding deep. | Or of the disease which takes men in the dark, or of the destruction which makes waste when the sun is high. |
