Psalms 16:1Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.A Secret Treasure of David. Preserve me, O God, for I did trust in Thee.The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips.{Michtam of David.} Preserve me, O ùGod: for I trust in thee.
Psalms 16:2O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;Thou hast said to Jehovah, `My Lord Thou [art];` My good [is] not for thine own sake;Let my judgment come forth from thy countenance: let thy eyes behold the things that are equitable.Thou [my soul] hast said to Jehovah, Thou art the Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee;
Psalms 16:3But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.For the holy ones who [are] in the land, And the honourable, all my delight [is] in them.Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me.To the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent [thou hast said], In them is all my delight.
Psalms 16:4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.Multiplied are their griefs, [Who] have hastened backward; I pour not out their libations of blood, Nor do I take up their names on my lips.That my mouth may not speak the works of men: for the sake of the words of thy lips, I have kept hard ways.Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, and I will not take up their names into my lips.
Psalms 16:5The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.Jehovah [is] the portion of my share, and of my cup, Thou Thou dost uphold my lot.Perfect thou my goings in thy paths: that my footsteps be not moved.Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Psalms 16:6The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.Lines have fallen to me in pleasant places, Yea, a beauteous inheritance [is] for me.I have cried to thee, for thou, O God, hast heard me: O incline thy ear unto me, and hear my words.The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Psalms 16:7I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.I bless Jehovah who hath counselled me; Also [in] the nights my reins instruct me.Shew forth thy wonderful mercies; thou who savest them that trust in thee.I will bless Jehovah, who giveth me counsel; even in the nights my reins instruct me.
Psalms 16:8I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.I did place Jehovah before me continually, Because at my right hand I am not moved.From them that resist thy right hand keep me, as the apple of thy eye. Protect me under the shadow of thy wings.I have set Jehovah continually before me; because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psalms 16:9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.Therefore hath my heart been glad, And my honour doth rejoice, Also my flesh dwelleth confidently:From the face of the wicked who have afflicted me. My enemies have surrounded my soul:Therefore my heart rejoiceth, and my glory exulteth; my flesh moreover shall dwell in hope.
Psalms 16:10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.For Thou dost not leave my soul to Sheol, Nor givest thy saintly one to see corruption.they have shut up their fat: their mouth hath spoken proudly.For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to see corruption.
Psalms 16:11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.Thou causest me to know the path of life; Fulness of joys [is] with Thy presence, Pleasant things by Thy right hand for ever!They have cast me forth and now they have surrounded me: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth.Thou wilt make known to me the path of life: thy countenance is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
