Psalms 6:1O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.To the Overseer with stringed instruments, on the octave. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, in Thine anger reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me.To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.<To the chief music-maker on corded instruments, on the Sheminith. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion.
Psalms 6:2Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.Favour me, O Jehovah, for I [am] weak, Heal me, O Jehovah, For troubled have been my bones,Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are agitated.Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled.
Psalms 6:3My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?And my soul hath been troubled greatly, And Thou, O Jehovah, till when?My soul is also greatly disquieted: but thou, O LORD, how long?My soul is in bitter trouble; and you, O Lord, how long?
Psalms 6:4Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.Turn back, O Jehovah, draw out my soul, Save me for Thy kindness` sake.Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: Oh save me for thy mercies sake.Come back, O Lord, make my soul free; O give me salvation because of your mercy.
Psalms 6:5For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?For there is not in death Thy memorial, In Sheol, who doth give thanks to Thee?For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who will give thee thanks?For in death there is no memory of you; in the underworld who will give you praise?
Psalms 6:6I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.I have been weary with my sighing, I meditate through all the night [on] my bed, With my tear my couch I waste.I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes.
Psalms 6:7Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.Old from provocation is mine eye, It is old because of all mine adversaries,My eye is consumed because of grief; it groweth old because of all my enemies.My eyes are wasting away with trouble; they are becoming old because of all those who are against me.
Psalms 6:8Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.Turn from me all ye workers of iniquity, For Jehovah heard the voice of my weeping,Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.Go from me, all you workers of evil; for the Lord has given ear to the voice of my weeping.
Psalms 6:9The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.Jehovah hath heard my supplication, Jehovah my prayer receiveth.The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.The Lord has given ear to my request; the Lord has let my prayer come before him.
Psalms 6:10Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.Ashamed and troubled greatly are all mine enemies, They turn back ashamed [in] a moment!Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly disquieted: let them return and be suddenly ashamed.Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame.
