Psalms 62:1Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. To the Overseer, for Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Only toward God [is] my soul silent, From Him [is] my salvation. To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.A psalm of David when he was in the desert of Edom.
Psalms 62:2He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.Only He [is] my rock, and my salvation, My tower, I am not much moved. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.O God, my God, to thee do I watch at break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways!
Psalms 62:3How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.Till when do ye devise mischief against a man? Ye are destroyed all of you, As a wall inclined, a hedge that is cast down. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. In a desert land, and where there is no way, and no water: so in the sanctuary have I come before thee, to see thy power and thy glory.
Psalms 62:4They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.Only from his excellency They have consulted to drive away, They enjoy a lie, with their mouth they bless, And with their heart revile. Selah. They only consult to cast him down from his excellence: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise.
Psalms 62:5My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.Only for God, be silent, O my soul, For from Him [is] my hope.My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. Thus will I bless thee all my life long: and in thy name I will lift up my hands.
Psalms 62:6He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.Only He [is] my rock and my salvation, My tower, I am not moved. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved.Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
Psalms 62:7In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.On God [is] my salvation, and my honour, The rock of my strength, my refuge [is] in God.In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:
Psalms 62:8Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.Trust in Him at all times, O people, Pour forth before Him your heart, God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.because thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the covert of thy wings:
Psalms 62:9Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.Only vanity [are] the low, a lie the high. In balances to go up they than vanity [are] lighter.Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.my soul hath stuck close to thee: thy right hand hath received me.
Psalms 62:10Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.Trust not in oppression, And in robbery become not vain, Wealth when it increaseth set not the heart.Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them. But they have sought my soul in vain, they shall go into the lower parts of the earth:
Psalms 62:11God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.Once hath God spoken, twice I heard this, That `strength [is] with God.`God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth to God.They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, they shall be the portions of foxes.
Psalms 62:12Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. And with Thee, O Lord, [is] kindness, For Thou dost recompense to each, According to his work! Also to thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. But the king shall rejoice in God, all they shall be praised that swear by him: because the mouth is stopped of them that speak wicked things.
