| Psalms 36:1 | The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. | To the Overseer. By a servant of Jehovah, by David. The transgression of the wicked Is affirming within my heart, `Fear of God is not before his eyes, | | <To the chief music-maker. Of the servant of the Lord. Of David.> The sin of the evil-doer says in his heart, There is no fear of the Lord before his eyes. |
| Psalms 36:2 | For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. | For he made [it] smooth to himself in his eyes, To find his iniquity to be hated. | | For he takes comfort in the thought that his sin will not be uncovered and hated. |
| Psalms 36:3 | The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. | The words of his mouth [are] iniquity and deceit, He ceased to act prudently to do good. | | In the words of his mouth are evil and deceit; he has given up being wise and doing good. |
