Psalms 60:1To the chief Musician upon Shushan-eduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.O God thou hast cast us off, thou hast broken us down; Thou hast been angry; oh restore us again. <To the chief music-maker; put to Shushan-eduth. Psalms 60:3Thou hast shown thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.Thou hast showed thy people hard things: Thou hast made us to drink the wine of staggering. You have made the people see hard times; you have given us the wine of shaking for our drink.To thee have I cried from the ends of the earth: when my heart was in anguish, thou hast exalted me on a rock. Thou hast conducted me;
Psalms 60:4Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah Give a safe place to those who have fear of you, where they may go in flight from before the bow. (Selah.)for thou hast been my hope; a tower of strength against the face of the enemy.
Psalms 60:5That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer us. So that your loved ones may be made safe, let your right hand be my salvation, and give me an answer.In thy tabernacle I shall dwell for ever: I shall be protected under the covert of thy wings.
Psalms 60:6God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. God has said in his holy place, I will be glad: I will make a division of Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will be measured out.For thou, my God, hast heard my prayer: thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.

Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years even to generation and generation.
Psalms 60:8Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.Moab is my washpot; Upon Edom will I cast my shoe: Philistia, shout thou because of me. Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I put out my shoe; over Philistia will a glad cry be sounded.He abideth for ever in the sight of God: his mercy and truth who shall search ?

Who will take me into the strong town? who will be my guide into Edom?So will I sing a psalm to thy name for ever and ever: that I may pay my vows from day to day.
Psalms 60:10Wilt thou not, O God, who hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, who didst not go out with our armies?Hast not thou, O God, cast us off? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts. Have not you put us away, O God? and you have not gone out with our armies.
Psalms 60:11Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.Give us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man. Give us help in our trouble; for there is no help in man.
Psalms 60:12Through God we shall do valiantly: for he will tread down our enemies.Through God we shall do valiantly; For he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
