| Psalms 52:1 | To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually. | Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God [endureth] continually. | <To the chief music-maker. Maschil. Of David. When Doeg the Edomite came to Saul saying, David has come to the house of Ahimelech.> Why do you take pride in wrongdoing, lifting yourself up against the upright man all the day? | Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God's lovingkindness endures continually. |
| Psalms 52:2 | Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. | Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. | Purposing destruction, using deceit; your tongue is like a sharp blade. | Your tongue plots destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. |

Selah | But God will put an end to you for ever; driving you out from your tent, uprooting you from the land of the living. (Selah.) | God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, And root you out of the land of the living. Selah. |
| Psalms 52:6 | The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him: | The righteous also shall see [it], and fear, And shall laugh at him, [saying], | The upright will see it with fear, and will say, laughing at you: | The righteous also will see it, and fear, And laugh at him, saying, |
| Psalms 52:7 | Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. | Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness. | See, this is the man who did not make God his strength, but had faith in his goods and his property, and made himself strong in his wealth. | "Behold, this is the man who didn't make God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness." |
| Psalms 52:8 | But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. | But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever. | But I am like a branching olive-tree in the house of God; I have put my faith in his mercy for ever and ever. | But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God's house. I trust in God's lovingkindness forever and ever. |
| Psalms 52:9 | I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints. | I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it; And I will hope in thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints. Psalm 53 For the Chief Musician; set to Mahalath. Maschil of David. | I will give you praise without end for what you have done; I will give honour to your name before your saints, for it is good. | I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it.
