| Psalms 38:1 | A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. | O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. | | A Psalm of David, `To cause to remember.` Jehovah, in Thy wrath reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me. |
| Psalms 38:2 | For thy arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand falleth heavy upon me. | For thine arrows stick fast in me, And thy hand presseth me sore. | | For Thine arrows have come down on me, And Thou lettest down upon me Thy hand. |
