Psalms 65:1To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion: and to thee shall the vow be performed.<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David. A Song.> It is right for you, O God, to have praise in Zion: to you let the offering be made.Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,
Psalms 65:2O thou that hearest prayer, to thee shall all flesh come.To you, O hearer of prayer, let the words of all flesh come.sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.
Psalms 65:3Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.Evils have overcome us: but as for our sins, you will take them away.Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.
Psalms 65:4Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach to thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.Happy is the man of your selection, to whom you give a resting-place in your house; we will be full of the good things out of your holy place.Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.
Psalms 65:5By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:You will give us an answer in righteousness by great acts of power, O God of our salvation; you who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off lands of the sea;Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.
Psalms 65:6Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.
Psalms 65:7Who stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.
Psalms 65:8They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.
Psalms 65:9Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:
Psalms 65:10Thou waterest the ridges of it abundantly: thou settlest the furrows of it: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing of it.You make the ploughed lands full of water; you make smooth the slopes: you make the earth soft with showers, sending your blessing on its growth. For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.
Psalms 65:11Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. The year is crowned with the good you give; life-giving rain is dropping from your footsteps,Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:
Psalms 65:12They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.Falling on the grass of the waste land: and the little hills are glad on every side.thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment.
Psalms 65:13The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing. The grass-land is thick with flocks; the valleys are full of grain; they give glad cries and songs of joy.I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
