Psalms 81:1To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of Asaph. Sing aloud to God our strength: make a joyful noise to the God of Jacob.<To the chief music-maker; put to the Gittith. Of Asaph.> Make a song to God our strength: make a glad cry to the God of Jacob.Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful noise to the God of Jacob!{To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. [A Psalm] of Asaph.} Sing ye joyously unto God our strength, shout aloud unto the God of Jacob;
Psalms 81:2Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.Take up the melody, playing on an instrument of music, even on corded instruments.Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, The pleasant lyre with the harp.Raise a song, and sound the tambour, the pleasant harp with the lute.
Psalms 81:3Blow the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.Let the horn be sounded in the time of the new moon, at the full moon, on our holy feast-day:Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, At the full moon, on our feast day.Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the set time, on our feast day:
Psalms 81:4For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.For this is a rule for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.For it is a statute for Israel, An ordinance of the God of Jacob.For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob;

Psalms 81:8Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee; O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me;Give ear, O my people, and I will give you my word, O Israel, if you will only do as I say!"Hear, my people, and I will testify to you. Israel, if you would listen to me!Hear, my people, and I will testify unto thee; O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto me!
Psalms 81:9There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.There is to be no strange god among you; you are not to give worship to any other god.There shall be no strange god in you, Neither shall you worship any foreign god.There shall no strange ùgod be in thee, neither shalt thou worship any foreign ùgod.
Psalms 81:10I am the LORD thy God who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.I am the Lord your God, who took you up from the land of Egypt: let your mouth be open wide, so that I may give you food.I am Yahweh, your God, Who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.I am Jehovah thy God, that brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Psalms 81:11But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would not obey me.But my people did not give ear to my voice; Israel would have nothing to do with me.But my people didn't listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.But my people hearkened not to my voice, and Israel would none of me.
Psalms 81:12So I gave them up to their own hearts lust: and they walked in their own counsels.So I gave them up to the desires of their hearts; that they might go after their evil purposes.So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, That they might walk in their own counsels.So I gave them up unto their own hearts' stubbornness: they walked after their own counsels.
Psalms 81:13O that my people had hearkened to me, and Israel had walked in my ways!If only my people would give ear to me, walking in my ways!Oh that my people would listen to me, That Israel would walk in my ways!Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, that Israel had walked in my ways!
Psalms 81:14I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.I would quickly overcome their haters: my hand would be turned against those who make war on them.I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn my hand against their adversaries.I would soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
Psalms 81:15The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves to him: and their time should have endured for ever.The haters of the Lord would be broken, and their destruction would be eternal.The haters of Yahweh would cringe before him, And their punishment would last forever.The haters of Jehovah would have come cringing unto him; but their time would have been for ever.
Psalms 81:16He would have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock I should have satisfied thee.I would give them the best grain for food; you would be full of honey from the rock.But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat.
