Psalms 21:1To the chief Musician, a Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> The king will be glad in your strength, O Lord; how great will be his delight in your salvation! To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. Jehovah, in Thy strength is the king joyful, In Thy salvation how greatly he rejoiceth.Unto the end, for the morning protection, a psalm for David.
Psalms 21:2Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withheld the request of his lips. Selah. You have given him his heart's desire, and have not kept back the request of his lips. (Selah.)The desire of his heart Thou gavest to him, And the request of his lips Thou hast not withheld. Selah.O God my God, look upon me: why hast thou forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my sins.
Psalms 21:3For thou hast met him with the blessings of goodness: thou hast set a crown of pure gold on his head. For you go before him with the blessings of good things: you put a crown of fair gold on his head. For Thou puttest before him blessings of goodness, Thou settest on his head a crown of fine gold.O my God, I shall cry by day, and thou wilt not hear: and by night, and it shall not be reputed as folly in me.
Psalms 21:4He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it to him, even length of days for ever and ever.He made request to you for life, and you gave it to him, long life for ever and ever.Life he hath asked from Thee, Thou hast given to him length of days, Age-during and for ever. But thou dwellest in the holy place, the praise of Israel.
Psalms 21:5His glory is great in thy salvation: honor and majesty hast thou laid upon him.His glory is great in your salvation: honour and authority have you put on him.Great [is] his honour in Thy salvation, Honour and majesty Thou placest on him.In thee have our fathers hoped: they have hoped, and thou hast delivered them.
Psalms 21:6For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. For you have made him a blessing for ever: you have given him joy in the light of your face. For Thou makest him blessings for ever, Thou dost cause him to rejoice with joy, By Thy countenance. They cried to thee, and they were saved: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
Psalms 21:7For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. For the king has faith in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Most High he will not be moved. For the king is trusting in Jehovah, And in the kindness of the Most High He is not moved. But I am a worm, and no man: the reproach of men, and the outcast of the people.
Psalms 21:8Thy hand shall find out all thy enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.Your hand will make a search for all your haters; your right hand will be hard on all those who are against you.Thy hand cometh to all Thine enemies, Thy right hand doth find Thy haters. All they that saw me have laughed me to scorn: they have spoken with the lips, and wagged the head.
Psalms 21:9Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thy anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. You will make them like a flaming oven before you; the Lord in his wrath will put an end to them, and they will be burned up in the fire.Thou makest them as a furnace of fire, At the time of Thy presence. Jehovah in His anger doth swallow them, And fire doth devour them.He hoped in the Lord, let him deliver him: let him save him, seeing he delighteth in him.
Psalms 21:10Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.Their fruit will be cut off from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.Their fruit from earth Thou destroyest, And their seed from the sons of men.For thou art he that hast drawn me out of the womb: my hope from the breasts of my mother.
Psalms 21:11For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. For their thoughts were bitter against you: they had an evil design in their minds, which they were not able to put into effect. For they stretched out against Thee evil, They devised a wicked device, they prevail not,I was cast upon thee from the womb. From my mother's womb thou art my God,
Psalms 21:12Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thy arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.Their backs will be turned when you make ready the cords of your bow against their faces. For Thou makest them a butt, When Thy strings Thou preparest against their faces.depart not from me. For tribulation is very near: for there is none to help me.
Psalms 21:13Be thou exalted, LORD, in thy own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.Be lifted up, O Lord, in your strength; so will we make songs in praise of your power.Be Thou exalted, O Jehovah in, Thy strength, We sing and we praise Thy might! Many calves have surrounded me: fat bulls have besieged me.
