Psalms 65:1To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion: and to thee shall the vow be performed.{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David: a Song.} Praise waiteth for thee in silence, O God, in Zion; and unto thee shall the vow be performed.Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,Praise waits for you, God, in Zion. To you shall vows be performed.
Psalms 65:2O thou that hearest prayer, to thee shall all flesh come.O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.You who hear prayer, To you all men will come.
Psalms 65:3Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.Iniquities have prevailed against me: our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.Sins overwhelmed me, But you atoned for our transgressions.
Psalms 65:4Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach to thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.Blessed is he whom thou choosest and causest to approach: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, of thy holy temple.Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.Blessed is one whom you choose, and cause to come near, That he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, Your holy temple.
Psalms 65:5By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation, thou confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the distant regions of the sea. ...Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, Of those who are far away on the sea;
Psalms 65:6Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:Who by his strength established the mountains, being girded with power;Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.Who by his power forms the mountains, Having armed yourself with strength;
Psalms 65:7Who stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.Who stilleth the raging of the seas, the raging of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.Who stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the turmoil of the nations.
Psalms 65:8They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.And they that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.They also who dwell in far-away places are afraid at your wonders. You call the morning's dawn and the evening with songs of joy.
Psalms 65:9Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.Thou hast visited the earth, thou hast watered it; thou greatly enrichest it: the river of God is full of water; thou providest their corn, when thou hast so prepared it:Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.
Psalms 65:10Thou waterest the ridges of it abundantly: thou settlest the furrows of it: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing of it.Thou dost satiate its furrows, thou smoothest its clods, thou makest it soft with showers; thou blessest the springing thereof.For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop.
Psalms 65:11Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.Thou crownest the year with thy goodness, and thy paths drop fatness:Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance.
