2nd-Corinthians 4:1Therefore, being engaged in this service and being mindful of the mercy which has been shown us, we are not cowards.For this reason, because we have been made servants of this new order, through the mercy given to us, we are strong:Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don't faint.Therefore, seeing we have this ministration, according as we have obtained mercy, we faint not;
2nd-Corinthians 4:2Nay, we have renounced the secrecy which marks a feeling of shame. We practice no cunning tricks, nor do we adulterate God's Message. But by a full clear statement of the truth we strive to commend ourselves in the presence of God to every human conscience.And we have given up the secret things of shame, not walking in false ways, and not making use of the word of God with deceit; but by the revelation of what is true, as before God, we have the approval of every man's sense of right and wrong.But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.But we renounce the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience, in the sight of God.
2nd-Corinthians 4:3If, however, the meaning of our Good News has been veiled, the veil has been on the hearts of those who are on the way to perdition,But if our good news is veiled, it is veiled from those who are on the way to destruction:Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish;And if our gospel be also hid, it is hid to them that are lost,
2nd-Corinthians 4:4in whom the god of this present age has blinded their unbelieving minds so as to shut out the sunshine of the Good News of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God.Because the god of this world has made blind the minds of those who have not faith, so that the light of the good news of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might not be shining on them.in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them.
2nd-Corinthians 4:5(For we do not proclaim ourselves, but we proclaim Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bondservants for the sake of Jesus.)For our preaching is not about ourselves, but about Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants through Jesus.For we don't preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.For we preach not ourselves, but Jesus Christ our Lord; and ourselves your servants through Jesus.
2nd-Corinthians 4:6For God who said, "Out of darkness let light shine," is He who has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory, which is radiant on the face of Christ.Seeing that it is God who said, Let light be shining out of the dark, who has put in our hearts the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.Seeing it is God who said, "Light will shine out of darkness," who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Christ Jesus.
2nd-Corinthians 4:7But we have this treasure in a fragile vase of clay, in order that the surpassing greatness of the power may be seen to belong to God, and not to originate in us.But we have this wealth in vessels of earth, so that it may be seen that the power comes not from us but from God;But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency may be of the power of God, and not of us.
2nd-Corinthians 4:8We are hard pressed, yet never in absolute distress; perplexed, yet never utterly baffled;Troubles are round us on every side, but we are not shut in; things are hard for us, but we see a way out of them;We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;In all things we suffer tribulation, but are not distressed; we are straitened, but are not destitute;
2nd-Corinthians 4:9pursued, yet never left unsuccoured; struck to the ground, yet never slain;We are cruelly attacked, but not without hope; we are made low, but we are not without help;pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;We suffer persecution, but are not forsaken; we are cast down, but we perish not:
2nd-Corinthians 4:10always, wherever we go, carrying with us in our bodies the putting to death of Jesus, so that in our bodies it may also be clearly shown that Jesus lives.In our bodies there is ever the mark of the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be seen in our bodies.always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.Always bearing about in our body the mortification of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our bodies.
2nd-Corinthians 4:11For we, alive though we are, are continually surrendering ourselves to death for the sake of Jesus, so that in this mortal nature of ours it may also be clearly shown that Jesus lives.For, while living, we are still being given up to death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be seen in our flesh, though it is under the power of death.For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake; that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
2nd-Corinthians 4:12Thus we are constantly dying, while you are in full enjoyment of Life.So then, death is working in us, but life in you.So then death works in us, but life in you.So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
2nd-Corinthians 4:13But possessing the same Spirit of faith as he who wrote, "I believed, and therefore I have spoken," we also believe, and therefore we speak.But having the same spirit of faith, as it is said in the Writings, The words of my mouth came from the faith in my heart; in the same way, our words are the outcome of our faith;But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, "I believed, and therefore I spoke." We also believe, and therefore also we speak;But having the same spirit of faith, as it is written: I believed, for which cause I have spoken; we also believe, for which cause we speak also:
2nd-Corinthians 4:14For we know that He who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will raise us also to be with Jesus, and will cause both us and you to stand in His own presence.Because we are certain that he who made the Lord Jesus come back from the dead, will do the same for us, and will give us a place in his glory with you.knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.Knowing that he who raised up Jesus, will raise us up also with Jesus, and place us with you.
2nd-Corinthians 4:15For everything is for your sakes, in order that grace, being more richly bestowed because of the thanksgivings of the increased number, may more and more promote the glory of God.For we go through all things on account of you, because the greater the number to whom the grace is given, the greater is the praise to the glory of God.For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.For all things are for your sakes; that the grace abounding through many, may abound in thanksgiving unto the glory of God.
2nd-Corinthians 4:16Therefore we are not cowards. Nay, even though our outward man is wasting away, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day.For which cause we do not give way to weariness; but though our outer man is getting feebler, our inner man is made new day by day.Therefore we don't faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man is corrupted, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2nd-Corinthians 4:17For this our light and transitory burden of suffering is achieving for us a preponderating, yes, a vastly preponderating, and eternal weight of glory;For our present trouble, which is only for a short time, is working out for us a much greater weight of glory;For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;For that which is at present momentary and light of our tribulation, worketh for us above measure exceedingly an eternal weight of glory.
2nd-Corinthians 4:18while we look not at things seen, but things unseen; for things seen are temporary, but things unseen are eternal.While our minds are not on the things which are seen, but on the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are for a time; but the things which are not seen are eternal.while we don't look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen, are temporal; but the things which are not seen, are eternal.
