1st-Corinthians 12:1It is important, brethren, that you should have clear knowledge on the subject of spiritual gifts.But concerning spiritual [manifestations], brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant.Now concerning spiritual things, my brethren, I would not have you ignorant.Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1st-Corinthians 12:2You know that when you were heathens you went astray after dumb idols, wherever you happened to be led.Ye know that when ye were [of the] nations [ye were] led away to dumb idols, in whatever way ye might be led.You know that when you were heathens, you went to dumb idols, according as you were led.Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
1st-Corinthians 12:3For this reason I would have you understand that no one speaking under the influence of The Spirit of God ever says, "Jesus is accursed," and that no one is able to say, "Jesus is Lord," except under the influence of the Holy Spirit.I give you therefore to know, that no one, speaking in [the power of the] Spirit of God, says, Curse [on] Jesus; and no one can say, Lord Jesus, unless in [the power of the] Holy Spirit.Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man, speaking by the Spirit of God, saith Anathema to Jesus. And no man can say the Lord Jesus, but by the Holy Ghost.Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God, calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.
1st-Corinthians 12:4Now there are various kinds of gifts, but there is one and the same Spirit;But there are distinctions of gifts, but the same Spirit;Now there are diversities of graces, but the same Spirit;Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1st-Corinthians 12:5various forms of official service, and yet one and the same Lord;and there are distinctions of services, and the same Lord;And there are diversities of ministries, but the same Lord;And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1st-Corinthians 12:6diversities in work, and yet one and the same God He who in each person brings about the whole result.and there are distinctions of operations, but the same God who operates all things in all.And there are diversities of operations, but the same God, who worketh all in all.And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God who worketh all in all.
1st-Corinthians 12:7But to each of us a manifestation of the Spirit has been granted for the common good.But to each the manifestation of the Spirit is given for profit.And the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man unto profit.But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man for profit.
1st-Corinthians 12:8To one the utterance of wisdom has been granted through the Spirit; to another the utterance of knowledge in accordance with the will of the same Spirit;For to one, by the Spirit, is given [the] word of wisdom; and to another [the] word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;To one indeed, by the Spirit, is given the word of wisdom: and to another, the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another, the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1st-Corinthians 12:9to a third man, by means of the same Spirit, special faith; to another various gifts of healing, by means of the one Spirit;and to a different one faith, in [the power of] the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healing in [the power of] the same Spirit;To another, faith in the same spirit; to another, the grace of healing in one Spirit;To another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1st-Corinthians 12:10to another the exercise of miraculous powers; to another the gift of prophecy; to another the power of discriminating between prophetic utterances; to another varieties of the gift of `tongues;' to another the interpretation of tongues.and to another operations of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; and to a different one kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues.To another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, the discerning of spirits; to another, diverse kinds of tongues; to another, interpretation of speeches.To another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, discerning of spirits; to another, divers kinds of languages; to another, the interpretation of languages:
1st-Corinthians 12:11But these results are all brought about by one and the same Spirit, who bestows His gifts upon each of us in accordance with His own will.But all these things operates the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each in particular according as he pleases.But all these things one and the same Spirit worketh, dividing to every one according as he will.But all these worketh that one and the same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1st-Corinthians 12:12For just as the human body is one and yet has many parts, and all its parts, many as they are, constitute but one body, so it is with the Church of Christ.For even as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also [is] the Christ.For as the body is one, and hath many members; and all the members of the body, whereas they are many, yet are one body, so also is Christ.For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1st-Corinthians 12:13For, in fact, in one Spirit all of us whether we are Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free men were baptized to form but one body; and we were all nourished by that one Spirit.For also in [the power of] one Spirit *we* have all been baptised into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bondmen or free, and have all been given to drink of one Spirit.For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and in one Spirit we have all been made to drink.For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1st-Corinthians 12:14For the human body does not consist of one part, but of many.For also the body is not one member but many.For the body also is not one member, but many.For the body is not one member, but many.
1st-Corinthians 12:15Were the foot to say, "Because I am not a hand I am not a part of the body," that would not make it any the less a part of the body.If the foot say, Because I am not a hand I am not of the body, is it on account of this not indeed of the body?If the foot should say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body ?If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1st-Corinthians 12:16Or were the ear to say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," that would not make it any the less a part of the body.And if the ear say, Because I am not an eye I am not of the body, is it on account of this not indeed of the body?And if the ear should say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body ?And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1st-Corinthians 12:17If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the nostrils be?If the whole body [were] an eye, where the hearing? if all hearing, where the smelling?If the whole body were the eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
1st-Corinthians 12:18But, as a matter of fact, God has arranged the parts in the body every one of them as He has seen fit.But now God has set the members, each one of them in the body, according as it has pleased [him].But now God hath set the members every one of them in the body as it hath pleased him.But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
1st-Corinthians 12:19If they were all one part, where would the body be?But if all were one member, where the body?And if they all were one member, where would be the body?And if they were all one member, where were the body?
1st-Corinthians 12:20But, as a matter of fact, there are many parts and but one body.But now the members [are] many, and the body one.But now there are many members indeed, yet one body.But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1st-Corinthians 12:21It is also impossible for the eye to say to the hand, "I do not need you;" or again for the head to say to the feet, "I do not need you."The eye cannot say to the hand, I have not need of thee; or again, the head to the feet, I have not need of you.And the eye cannot say to the hand: I need not thy help; nor again the head to the feet: I have no need of you.And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
1st-Corinthians 12:22No, it is quite otherwise. Even those parts of the body which are apparently somewhat feeble are yet indispensable;But much rather, the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;Yea, much more those that seem to be the more feeble members of the body, are more necessary.Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
1st-Corinthians 12:23and those which we deem less honorable we clothe with more abundant honor; and so our ungraceful parts come to have a more abundant grace, while our graceful parts have everything they need.and those [parts] of the body which we esteem to be the more void of honour, these we clothe with more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness;And such as we think to be the less honourable members of the body, about these we put more abundant honour; and those that are our uncomely parts, have more abundant comeliness.And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
1st-Corinthians 12:24But it was God who built up the body, and bestowed more abundant honor on the part that felt the need,but our comely [parts] have not need. But God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to [the part] that lacked;But our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, giving to that which wanted the more abundant honour,For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked:
1st-Corinthians 12:25that there might be no disunion in the body, but that all the members might entertain the same anxious care for one another's welfare.that there might be no division in the body, but that the members might have the same concern one for another.That there might be no schism in the body; but the members might be mutually careful one for another.That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1st-Corinthians 12:26And if one part is suffering, every other part suffers with it; or if one part is receiving special honor, every other part shares in the joy.And if one member suffer, all the members suffer with [it]; and if one member be glorified, all the members rejoice with [it].And if one member suffer any thing, all the members suffer with it; or if one member glory, all the members rejoice with it.And thus if one member suffers all the members suffer with it; or, if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
1st-Corinthians 12:27As for you, you are the body of Christ, and individually you are members of it.Now *ye* are Christ's body, and members in particular.Now you are the body of Christ, and members of member.Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
1st-Corinthians 12:28And by God's appointment there are in the Church first Apostles, secondly Prophets, thirdly teachers. Then come miraculous powers, and then ability to cure diseases or render loving service, or powers of organization, or varieties of the gift of `tongues.'And God has set certain in the assembly: first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then miraculous powers; then gifts of healings; helps; governments; kinds of tongues.And God indeed hath set some in the church; first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly doctors; after that miracles; then the graces of healing, helps, governments, kinds of tongues, interpretations of speeches.And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of languages.
1st-Corinthians 12:29Are all Apostles? Are all Prophets? Are all teachers?[Are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all [in possession of] miraculous powers?Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all doctors?Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1st-Corinthians 12:30Have all miraculous powers? Have all ability to cure diseases? Do all speak in `tongues'? Do all interpret?have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?Are all workers of miracles? Have all the grace of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak in languages? do all interpret?
1st-Corinthians 12:31But always seek to excel in the greater gifts. And now I will point out to you a way of life which transcends all others.But desire earnestly the greater gifts, and yet shew I unto you a way of more surpassing excellence.But be zealous for the better gifts. And I shew unto you yet a more excellent way.But covet earnestly the best gifts. And yet I show to you a more excellent way.
