2nd-Thessalonians 3:1Finally, brethren, pray for us, asking that the Lord's Message may be spread rapidly and its glory be displayed, as it was displayed among you;For the rest, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also with you;For the rest, brethren, pray for us, that the word of God may run, and may be glorified, even as among you;Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you;
2nd-Thessalonians 3:2and that we may be delivered from wrong-headed and wicked men; for it is not everybody who has faith.and that we may be delivered from bad and evil men, for faith [is] not [the portion] of all.And that we may be delivered from importunate and evil men; for all men have not faith.And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:3But the Lord is faithful, and He will make you stedfast and will guard you from the Evil one.But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you and keep [you] from evil.But God is faithful, who will strengthen and keep you from evil.But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you, and keep you from evil.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:4And we have confidence in the Lord in regard to you that you are doing, and will do, what we command.But we trust in the Lord as to you, that the things which we enjoin, ye both do and will do.And we have confidence concerning you in the Lord, that the things which we command, you both do, and will do.And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:5And may the Lord guide your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.But the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of the Christ.And the Lord direct your hearts, in the charity of God, and the patience of Christ.And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:6But, by the authority of the Lord, we command you, brethren, to stand aloof from every brother whose life is disorderly and not in accordance with the teaching which all received from us.Now we enjoin you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the instruction which he received from us.And we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly, and not according to the tradition which they have received of us.Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received from us.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:7For you yourselves know that it is your duty to follow our example. There was no disorder in our lives among you,For ye know yourselves how ye ought to imitate us, because we have not walked disorderly among you;For yourselves know how you ought to imitate us: for we were not disorderly among you;For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
2nd-Thessalonians 3:8nor did we eat any one's bread without paying for it, but we laboured and toiled, working hard night and day in order not to be a burden to any of you.nor have we eaten bread from any one without cost; but in toil and hardship working night and day not to be chargeable to any one of you:Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing, but in labour and in toil we worked night and day, lest we should be chargeable to any of you.Neither did we eat any man's bread for naught; but wrought with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
2nd-Thessalonians 3:9This was not because we had not a claim upon you, but it arose from a desire to set you an example for you to imitate us.not that we have not the right, but that we might give ourselves as an example to you, in order to your imitating us.Not as if we had not power: but that we might give ourselves a pattern unto you, to imitate us.Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves a pattern to you to follow us.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:10For even when we were with you, we laid down this rule for you: "If a man does not choose to work, neither shall he eat."For also when we were with you we enjoined you this, that if any man does not like to work, neither let him eat.For also when we were with you, this we declared to you: that, if any man will not work, neither let him eat.For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:11For we hear that there are some of you who live disorderly lives and are mere idle busybodies.For we hear that [there are] some walking among you disorderly, not working at all, but busybodies.For we have heard there are some among you who walk disorderly, working not at all, but curiously meddling.For we hear that there are some who walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busy-bodies.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:12To persons of that sort our injunction and our command by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ is that they are to work quietly and eat their own honestly-earned bread.Now such we enjoin and exhort in [the] Lord Jesus Christ, that working quietly they eat their own bread.Now we charge them that are such, and beseech them by the Lord Jesus Christ, that, working with silence, they would eat their own bread.Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:13But you, brethren, must not grow weary in the path of duty;But *ye*, brethren, do not faint in well-doing.But you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.But ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:14and if any one refuses to obey these our written instructions, mark that man and hold no communication with him so that he may be made to feel ashamed.But if any one obey not our word by the letter, mark that man, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed of himself;And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed:And if any man obeyeth not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:15And yet do not regard him as an enemy, but caution him as a brother.and do not esteem him as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.Yet do not esteem him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:16And may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every sense. The Lord be with you all.But the Lord of peace himself give you peace continually in every way. The Lord [be] with you all.Now the Lord of peace himself give you everlasting peace in every place. The Lord be with you all.Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:17I Paul add the greeting with my own hand, which is the credential in every letter of mine.The salutation by the hand of me, Paul, which is [the] mark in every letter; so I write.The salutation of Paul with my own hand; which is the sign in every epistle. So I write.The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
2nd-Thessalonians 3:18This is my handwriting. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all.The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
