Give me a little more time, and I will make it clear to you; for I have still something to say for God.Honour me a little, and I shew thee, That yet for God [are] words.
Job 36:3I will get my knowledge from afar, And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.I will fetch my knowledge from afar, And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. I will get my knowledge from far, and I will give righteousness to my Maker.I lift up my knowledge from afar, And to my Maker I ascribe righteousness.
Job 36:4For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.For truly my words are not false: One that is perfect in knowledge is with thee. For truly my words are not false; one who has all knowledge is talking with you.For, truly, my words [are] not false, The perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.
Job 36:5"Behold, God is mighty, and doesn't despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: He is mighty in strength of understanding. Truly, God gives up the hard-hearted, and will not give life to the sinner.Lo, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not, Mighty [in] power [and] heart.
Job 36:6He doesn't preserve the life of the wicked, But gives to the afflicted their right.He preserveth not the life of the wicked, But giveth to the afflicted [their] right. His eyes are ever on the upright, and he gives to the crushed their right;He reviveth not the wicked, And the judgment of the poor appointeth;
Job 36:7He doesn't withdraw his eyes from the righteous, But with kings on the throne, He sets them forever, and they are exalted.He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: But with kings upon the throne He setteth them for ever, and they are exalted. Lifting them up to the seat of kings, and making them safe for ever.He withdraweth not from the righteous His eyes, And [from] kings on the throne, And causeth them to sit for ever, and they are high,
Job 36:8If they are bound in fetters, And are taken in the cords of afflictions,And if they be bound in fetters, And be taken in the cords of afflictions; And if they have been prisoned in chains, and taken in cords of trouble,And if prisoners in fetters They are captured with cords of affliction,
Job 36:9Then he shows them their work, And their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.Then he showeth them their work, And their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly. Then he makes clear to them what they have done, even their evil works in which they have taken pride.Then He declareth to them their work, And their transgressions, Because they have become mighty,
Job 36:10He also opens their ears to instruction, And commands that they return from iniquity.He openeth also their ear to instruction, And commandeth that they return from iniquity. Their ear is open to his teaching, and he gives them orders so that their hearts may be turned from evil.And He uncovereth their ear for instruction, And saith that they turn back from iniquity.
Job 36:11If they listen and serve him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.If they hearken and serve [him], They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures. If they give ear to his voice, and do his word, then he gives them long life, and years full of pleasure.If they do hear and serve, They complete their days in good, And their years in pleasantness.
Job 36:12But if they don't listen, they shall perish by the sword; They shall die without knowledge.But if they hearken not, they shall perish by the sword, And they shall die without knowledge. But if not, they come to their end, and give up their breath without knowledge.And if they do not hearken, By the dart they pass away, And expire without knowledge.
Job 36:13"But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don't cry for help when he binds them.But they that are godless in heart lay up anger: They cry not for help when he bindeth them. Those who have no fear of God keep wrath stored up in their hearts; they give no cry for help when they are made prisoners.And the profane in heart set the face, They cry not when He hath bound them.
Job 36:14They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean.They die in youth, And their life [perisheth] among the unclean. They come to their end while they are still young, their life is short like that of those who are used for sex purposes in the worship of their gods.Their soul dieth in youth, And their life among the defiled.
Job 36:15He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, And opens their ear in oppression.He delivereth the afflicted by their affliction, And openeth their ear in oppression. He makes the wrong done to the poor the way of their salvation, opening their ears by their trouble.He draweth out the afflicted in his affliction, And uncovereth in oppression their ear.
Job 36:16Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, Into a broad place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.Yea, he would have allured thee out of distress Into a broad place, where there is no straitness; And that which is set on thy table would be full of fatness. ...And also He moved thee from a strait place, [To] a broad place no straitness under it, And the sitting beyond of thy table Hath been full of fatness.
Job 36:17"But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.But thou art full of the judgment of the wicked: Judgment and justice take hold [on thee]. ...And the judgment of the wicked thou hast fulfilled, Judgment and justice are upheld because of fury,
Job 36:18Don't let riches entice you to wrath, Neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.For let not wrath stir thee up against chastisements; Neither let the greatness of the ransom turn thee aside. ...Lest He move thee with a stroke, And the abundance of an atonement turn thee not aside.
Job 36:19Would your wealth sustain you in distress, Or all the might of your strength?Will thy cry avail, [that thou be] not in distress, Or all the forces of [thy] strength? ...Doth He value thy riches? He hath gold, and all the forces of power.
