Job 40:1Moreover Yahweh answered Job,Moreover Jehovah answered Job, and said, And Jehovah answered Job and said,And Jehovah doth answer Job, and saith:
Job 40:2"Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it."Shall he that cavilleth contend with the Almighty? He that argueth with God, let him answer it. Shall he that will contend with the Almighty instruct [him]? he that reproveth +God, let him answer it.Is the striver with the Mighty instructed? The reprover of God, let him answer it.
Job 40:3Then Job answered Yahweh,Then Job answered Jehovah, and said, And Job answered Jehovah and said,And Job answereth Jehovah, and saith:
Job 40:4"Behold, I am of small account. What shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.Behold, I am of small account; What shall I answer thee? I lay my hand upon my mouth. Behold, I am nought: what shall I answer thee? I will lay my hand upon my mouth.Lo, I have been vile, What do I return to Thee? My hand I have placed on my mouth.
Job 40:5I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further."Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; Yea, twice, but I will proceed no further. Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; yea twice, but I will proceed no further.Once I have spoken, and I answer not, And twice, and I add not.
Job 40:6Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind,Then Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,And Jehovah answereth Job out of the whirlwind, and saith:
Job 40:7"Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me.Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. Gird up now thy loins like a man: I will demand of thee, and inform thou me.Gird, I pray thee, as a man, thy loins, I ask thee, and cause thou Me to know.
Job 40:8Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?Wilt thou even annul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be justified? Wilt thou also annul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me that thou mayest be righteous?Dost thou also make void My judgment? Dost thou condemn Me, That thou mayest be righteous?
Job 40:9Or have you an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?Or hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like him? Hast thou an arm like ùGod? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?And an arm like God hast thou? And with a voice like Him dost thou thunder?
Job 40:10"Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.Deck thyself now with excellency and dignity; And array thyself with honor and majesty. Deck thyself now with glory and excellency, and clothe thyself with majesty and splendour.Put on, I pray thee, excellency and loftiness, Yea, honour and beauty put on.
Job 40:11Pour forth the fury of your anger. Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low.Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger; And look upon every one that is proud, and abase him. Cast abroad the ragings of thine anger, and look on every one that is proud, and abase him:Scatter abroad the wrath of thine anger, And see every proud one, and make him low.
Job 40:12Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.Look on every one that is proud, [and] bring him low; And tread down the wicked where they stand. Look on every one that is proud, bring him low, and tread down the wicked in their place:See every proud one humble him, And tread down the wicked in their place.
Job 40:13Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.Hide them in the dust together; Bind their faces in the hidden [place]. Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in secret.Hide them in the dust together, Their faces bind in secret.
Job 40:14Then I will also admit to you That your own right hand can save you.Then will I also confess of thee That thine own right hand can save thee. Then will I also praise thee, because thy right hand saveth thee.And even I I do praise thee, For thy right hand giveth salvation to thee.
Job 40:15"See now, behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.Behold now, behemoth, which I made as well as thee; He eateth grass as an ox. See now the behemoth, which I made with thee: he eateth grass as an ox.Lo, I pray thee, Behemoth, that I made with thee: Grass as an ox he eateth.
Job 40:16Look now, his strength is in his loins, His force is in the muscles of his belly.Lo now, his strength is in his loins, And his force is in the muscles of his belly. Behold now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the muscles of his belly.Lo, I pray thee, his power [is] in his loins, And his strength in the muscles of his belly.
Job 40:17He moves his tail like a cedar: The sinews of his thighs are knit together.He moveth his tail like a cedar: The sinews of his thighs are knit together. He bendeth his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are woven together.He doth bend his tail as a cedar, The sinews of his thighs are wrapped together,
Job 40:18His bones are like tubes of brass. His limbs are like bars of iron.His bones are [as] tubes of brass; His limbs are like bars of iron. His bones are tubes of bronze, his members are like bars of iron.His bones [are] tubes of brass, His bones [are] as a bar of iron.
Job 40:19He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.He is the chief of the ways of God: He [only] that made him giveth him his sword. He is the chief of ùGod's ways: he that made him gave him his sword.He [is] a beginning of the ways of God, His Maker bringeth nigh his sword;
Job 40:20Surely the mountains bring him forth food, Where all the animals of the field do play.Surely the mountains bring him forth food, Where all the beasts of the field do play. For the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.For food do mountains bear for him, And all the beasts of the field play there.
Job 40:21He lies under the lotus-trees, In the covert of the reed, and the marsh.He lieth under the lotus-trees, In the covert of the reed, and the fen. He lieth under lotus-bushes, in the covert of the reed and fen:Under shades he lieth down, In a secret place of reed and mire.
Job 40:22The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.The lotus-trees cover him with their shade; The willows of the brook compass him about. Lotus-bushes cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook surround him.Cover him do shades, [with] their shadow, Cover him do willows of the brook.
Job 40:23Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn't tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.Behold, if a river overflow, he trembleth not; He is confident, though a Jordan swell even to his mouth. Lo, the river overfloweth he startleth not: he is confident though a Jordan break forth against his mouth.Lo, a flood oppresseth he doth not haste, He is confident though Jordan Doth come forth unto his mouth.
Job 40:24Shall any take him when he is on the watch, Or pierce through his nose with a snare?Shall any take him when he is on the watch, Or pierce through his nose with a snare? Shall he be taken in front? will they pierce through [his] nose in the trap?Before his eyes doth [one] take him, With snares doth [one] pierce the nose?
