Psalms 34:1I will bless Yahweh at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth.I will bless Jehovah at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. For David himself. Judge thou, O Lord, them that wrong me : overthrow them that fight against me.{[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.} I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 34:2My soul shall boast in Yahweh. The humble shall hear of it, and be glad.My soul shall make her boast in Jehovah: The meek shall hear thereof, and be glad. Take hold of arms and shield : and rise up to help me.My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.
Psalms 34:3Oh magnify Yahweh with me. Let us exalt his name together.Oh magnify Jehovah with me, And let us exalt his name together. Bring out the sword, and shut up the way against them that persecute me : say to my soul : I am thy salvation.Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Psalms 34:4I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek after my soul. Let them be turned back and be confounded that devise against me.I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psalms 34:5They looked to him, and were radiant. Their faces shall never be covered with shame.They looked unto him, and were radiant; And their faces shall never be confounded. Let them become as dust before the wind : and let the angel of the Lord straiten them.They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.
Psalms 34:6This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. Let their way become dark and slippery; and let the angel of the Lord pursue them.This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
Psalms 34:7The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, And delivers them.The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, And delivereth them. For without cause they have hidden their net for me unto destruction : without cause they have upbraided my soul.The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Psalms 34:8Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.Oh taste and see that Jehovah is good: Blessed is the man that taketh refuge in him. Let the snare which he knoweth not come upon him : and let the net which he hath hidden catch him : and let the net which he hath hidden catch him : and into that very snare let them fall.Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
Psalms 34:9Oh fear Yahweh, you his saints, For there is no lack with those who fear him.Oh fear Jehovah, ye his saints; For there is no want to them that fear him. But my soul shall rejoice in the Lord; and shall be delighted in his salvation.Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.
Psalms 34:10The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, But those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing.The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; But they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good thing. All my bones shall say : Lord, who is like to thee? Who deliverest the poor from the hand of them that are stronger than he; the needy and the poor from them that strip him.The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
Psalms 34:11Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of Yahweh.Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah. Unjust witnesses rising up have asked me things I knew not.Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
Psalms 34:12Who is someone who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good?What man is he that desireth life, And loveth [many] days, that he may see good? They repaid me evil for good : to the depriving me of my soul.What man is he that desireth life, [and] loveth days, that he may see good?
Psalms 34:13Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking lies.Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile. But as for me, when they were troublesome to me, I was clothed with haircloth. I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer shall be turned into my bosom.Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;
Psalms 34:14Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it. As a neighbour and as an own brother, so did I please : as one mourning and sorrowful so was I humbled.Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Psalms 34:15The eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, And his ears are [open] unto their cry. But they rejoiced against me, and came together : scourges were gathered together upon me, and I knew not.The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;
Psalms 34:16The face of Yahweh is against those who do evil, To cut off the memory of them from the earth.The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. They were separated, and repented not : they tempted me, they scoffed at me with scorn : they gnashed upon me with their teeth.The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:
Psalms 34:17The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.[The righteous] cried, and Jehovah heard, And delivered them out of all their troubles. Lord, when wilt thou look upon me? rescue thou soul from their malice : my only one from the lions.[The righteous] cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Psalms 34:18Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves those who have a crushed spirit.Jehovah is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, And saveth such as are of a contrite spirit. I will give thanks to thee in a great church; I will praise thee in a strong people.Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 34:19Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But Yahweh delivers him out of them all.Many are the afflictions of the righteous; But Jehovah delivereth him out of them all. Let not them that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me : who have hated me without cause, and wink with the eyes.Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:
Psalms 34:20He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken.He keepeth all his bones: Not one of them is broken. For they spoke indeed peaceably to me; and speaking in the anger of the earth they devised guile.He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
Psalms 34:21Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.Evil shall slay the wicked; And they that hate the righteous shall be condemned. And they opened their mouth wide against me; they said : Well done, well done, our eyes have seen it.Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.
Psalms 34:22Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned. Psalm 35 By David.Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; And none of them that take refuge in him shall be condemned. Psalm 35 [A Psalm] of David. Thou hast seen, O Lord, be not thou silent : O Lord, depart not from me.Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
