Psalms 47:1Oh clap your hands, all you nations. Shout to God with the voice of triumph!Oh clap your hands, all ye peoples; Shout unto God with the voice of triumph. A psalm of a canticle, for the sons of Core, on the second day of the week.O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
Psalms 47:2For Yahweh Most High is awesome. He is a great King over all the earth.For Jehovah Most High is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth. Great is the Lord, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
Psalms 47:3He subdues nations under us, And peoples under our feet.He subdueth peoples under us, And nations under our feet. With the joy of the whole earth is mount Sion founded, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king.He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
Psalms 47:4He chooses our inheritance for us, The glory of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.He chooseth our inheritance for us, The glory of Jacob whom he loved. Selah In her houses shall God be known, when he shall protect her.He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
Psalms 47:5God has gone up with a shout, Yahweh with the sound of a trumpet.God is gone up with a shout, Jehovah with the sound of a trumpet. For behold the kings of the earth assembled themselves: they gathered together.God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Psalms 47:6Sing praise to God, sing praises. Sing praises to our King, sing praises.Sing praise to God, sing praises: Sing praises unto our King, sing praises. So they saw, and they wondered, they were troubled, they were moved:Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
Psalms 47:7For God is the King of all the earth. Sing praises with understanding.For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding. trembling took hold of them. There were pains as of a woman in labour.For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
Psalms 47:8God reigns over the nations. God sits on his holy throne.God reigneth over the nations: God sitteth upon his holy throne. With a vehement wind thou shalt break in pieces the ships of Tharsis.God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
Psalms 47:9The princes of the peoples are gathered together, The people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God. He is greatly exalted! Psalm 48 A Song. A Psalm by the sons of Korah.The princes of the peoples are gathered together [To be] the people of the God of Abraham: For the shields of the earth belong unto God; He is greatly exalted.
