The former things of old I have declared, and they went forth out of my mouth, and I have made them to be heard: I did them suddenly and they came to pass.I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth from my mouth, and I showed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
Isaiah 48:4Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow brass;Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass; For I knew that thou art stubborn, and thy neck is as an iron sinew, and thy forehead as brass.Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
Isaiah 48:5therefore I have declared it to you from of old; before it came to pass I showed it you; lest you should say, My idol has done them, and my engraved image, and my molten image, has commanded them.therefore I have declared it to thee from of old; before it came to pass I showed it thee; lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them. I foretold thee of old, before they came to pass I told thee, lest thou shouldst say: My idols have done these things, and my graven and molten things have commanded them.I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I showed it thee: lest thou shouldst say, My idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.

They are created now, and not of old: and before the day, when thou heardest them not, lest thou shouldst say: Behold I knew them.They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardst them not; lest thou shouldst say, Behold, I knew them.
