Psalms 58:1Do you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones? Do you judge blamelessly, you sons of men?Do ye indeed in silence speak righteousness? Do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? Unto the end, destroy not, for David for an inscription of It title, when Saul sent and watched his house to kill him.To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
Psalms 58:2No, in your heart you plot injustice. You measure out the violence of your hands in the earth.Nay, in heart ye work wickedness; Ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; and defend me from them that rise up against me.Yes, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
Psalms 58:3The wicked go astray from the womb. They are wayward as soon as they are born, speaking lies.The wicked are estranged from the womb: They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. Deliver me from them that work iniquity, and save me from bloody men.The wicked are estranged from their birth: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
Psalms 58:4Their poison is like the poison of a snake; Like a deaf cobra that stops its ear,Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: [They are] like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear, For behold they have caught my soul: the mighty have rushed in upon me:Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
Psalms 58:5Which doesn't listen to the voice of charmers, No matter how skillful the charmer may be.Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, Charming never so wisely. Neither is it my iniquity, nor my sin, O Lord: without iniquity have I run, and directed my steps.Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
Psalms 58:6Break their teeth, God, in their mouth. Break out the great teeth of the young lions, Yahweh.Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah. Rise up thou to meet me, and behold: even thou, O Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel. Attend to visit all the nations: have no mercy on all them that work iniquity.Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
Psalms 58:7Let them vanish as water that flows away. When they draw the bow, let their arrows be made blunt.Let them melt away as water that runneth apace: When he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off. They shall return at evening, and shall suffer hunger like dogs: and shall go round about the city.Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
Psalms 58:8Let them be as a snail which melts and passes away, Like the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.[Let them be] as a snail which melteth and passeth away, [Like] the untimely birth of a woman, that hath not seen the sun. Behold they shall speak with their mouth, and a sword is in their lips: for who, say they, hath heard us ?As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
Psalms 58:9Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will sweep away, the green and the burning alike.Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike. But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them: thou shalt bring all the nations to nothing.Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
Psalms 58:10The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked; I will keep my strength to thee: for thou art my protector:The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
