Psalms 51:1Have mercy on me, God, according to your lovingkindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Psalms 51:2Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin.Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
Psalms 51:3For I know my transgressions. My sin is constantly before me.For I know my transgressions; And my sin is ever before me.
Psalms 51:4Against you, and you only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in your sight; That you may be proved right when you speak, And justified when you judge.Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in thy sight; That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, And be clear when thou judgest.
Psalms 51:5Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin did my mother conceive me.Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.
Psalms 51:6Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.
Psalms 51:7Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psalms 51:8Let me hear joy and gladness, That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.Make me to hear joy and gladness, That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Psalms 51:9Hide your face from my sins, And blot out all of my iniquities.Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities.
Psalms 51:10Create in me a clean heart, God. Renew a right spirit within me.Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 51:11Don't throw me away from your presence. Don't take your holy Spirit from me.Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me.
Psalms 51:12Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psalms 51:13Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners shall be converted to you.Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Psalms 51:14Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, God, you God of my salvation. My tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation; [And] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
Psalms 51:15Lord, open my lips. My mouth shall declare your praise.O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall show forth thy praise.
Psalms 51:16For you don't delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering.For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
Psalms 51:17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Psalms 51:18Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem.Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Psalms 51:19Then will you delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, In burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings. Then they will offer bulls on your altar. Psalm 52 For the Chief Musician.
