| Psalms 37:1 | Don't fret because of evil-doers, Neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. | <Of David.> Do not be angry because of the wrongdoers, or have envy of the workers of evil. | A psalm for David, for a remembrance of the sabbath. | {[A Psalm] of David.} Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, and be not envious of them that work unrighteousness; |
| Psalms 37:2 | For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither like the green herb. | For they will quickly be cut down like grass, and become dry like the green plants. | Rebuke me not, O Lord, in thy indignation; nor chastise me in thy wrath. | for they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and fade as the green herb. |
| Psalms 37:3 | Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. | Have faith in the Lord, and do good; be at rest in the land, and go after righteousness. | For thy arrows are fastened in me : and thy hand hath been strong upon me. | Confide in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness; |

Don't fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. | Take your rest in the Lord, waiting quietly for him; do not be angry because of the man who does well in his evil ways, and gives effect to his bad designs. | I am become miserable, and am bowed down even to the end : I walked sorrowful all the day long. | Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him that prospereth in his way, because of the man that bringeth mischievous devices to pass. |
