Psalms 26:1Judge me, Yahweh, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in Yahweh without wavering.<Of David.> O Lord, be my judge, for my behaviour has been upright: I have put my faith in the Lord, I am not in danger of slipping. The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
Psalms 26:2Examine me, Yahweh, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.Put me in the scales, O Lord, so that I may be tested; let the fire make clean my thoughts and my heart.Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen.Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Psalms 26:3For your lovingkindness is before my eyes. I have walked in your truth. For your mercy is before my eyes; and I have gone in the way of your good faith. If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
Psalms 26:4I have not sat with deceitful men, Neither will I go in with hypocrites.I have not taken my seat with foolish persons, and I do not go with false men.One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
Psalms 26:5I hate the assembly of evil-doers, And will not sit with the wicked.I have been a hater of the band of wrongdoers, and I will not be seated among sinners. For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
Psalms 26:6I will wash my hands in innocence, So I will go about your altar, Yahweh;I will make my hands clean from sin; so will I go round your altar, O Lord;He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:
Psalms 26:7That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, And tell of all your wondrous works. That I may give out the voice of praise, and make public all the wonders which you have done.Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: have mercy on me and hear me.That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
Psalms 26:8Yahweh, I love the habitation of your house, The place where your glory dwells.Lord, your house has been dear to me, and the resting-place of your glory. My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
Psalms 26:9Don't gather my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men;Let not my soul be numbered among sinners, or my life among men of blood;Turn not away thy face from me; decline not in thy wrath from thy servant. Be thou my helper, forsake me not; do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour.Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
Psalms 26:10In whose hands is wickedness, Their right hand is full of bribes. In whose hands are evil designs, and whose right hands take money for judging falsely. For my father and my mother have left me: but the Lord hath taken me up.In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
Psalms 26:11But as for me, I will walk in my integrity. Redeem me, and be merciful to me.But as for me, I will go on in my upright ways: be my saviour, and have mercy on me.Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies. But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
Psalms 26:12My foot stands in an even place. In the congregations will I bless Yahweh. Psalm 27 By David.I have a safe resting-place for my feet; I will give praise to the Lord in the meetings of the people.Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
