Psalms 65:1Praise waits for you, God, in Zion. To you shall vows be performed.<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David. A Song.> It is right for you, O God, to have praise in Zion: to you let the offering be made.Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
Psalms 65:2You who hear prayer, To you all men will come.To you, O hearer of prayer, let the words of all flesh come.sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
Psalms 65:3Sins overwhelmed me, But you atoned for our transgressions.Evils have overcome us: but as for our sins, you will take them away.Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
Psalms 65:4Blessed is one whom you choose, and cause to come near, That he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, Your holy temple.Happy is the man of your selection, to whom you give a resting-place in your house; we will be full of the good things out of your holy place.Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
Psalms 65:5By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, Of those who are far away on the sea;You will give us an answer in righteousness by great acts of power, O God of our salvation; you who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off lands of the sea;Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
Psalms 65:6Who by his power forms the mountains, Having armed yourself with strength; The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:
Psalms 65:7Who stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the turmoil of the nations.Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
Psalms 65:8They also who dwell in far-away places are afraid at your wonders. You call the morning's dawn and the evening with songs of joy. Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard. They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
Psalms 65:9You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
Psalms 65:10You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop. You make the ploughed lands full of water; you make smooth the slopes: you make the earth soft with showers, sending your blessing on its growth. For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.
Psalms 65:11You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. The year is crowned with the good you give; life-giving rain is dropping from your footsteps,Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
Psalms 65:12The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness.Falling on the grass of the waste land: and the little hills are glad on every side.thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
Psalms 65:13The pastures are covered with flocks. The valleys also are clothed with grain. They shout for joy! They also sing. Psalm 66 For the Chief Musician. A song. A Psalm. The grass-land is thick with flocks; the valleys are full of grain; they give glad cries and songs of joy.I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
