| Psalms 86:1 | Hear, Yahweh, and answer me, For I am poor and needy. | <A Prayer. Of David.> Let your ears be open to my voice, O Lord, and give me an answer; for I am poor and in need. | A Prayer of David. Incline, O Jehovah, Thine ear, Answer me, for I [am] poor and needy. | For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are in the holy mountains: |
| Psalms 86:2 | Preserve my soul, for I am godly. You, my God, save your servant who trusts in you. | Keep my soul, for I am true to you; O my God, give salvation to your servant, whose hope is in you. | Keep my soul, for I [am] pious, Save Thy servant who is trusting to Thee, O Thou, my God. | The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob. |
| Psalms 86:3 | Be merciful to me, Lord, For I call to you all day long. | Have mercy on me, O Lord; for my cry goes up to you all the day. | Favour me, O Lord, for to Thee I call all the day. | Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God. |
| Psalms 86:4 | Bring joy to the soul of your servant, For to you, Lord, do I lift up my soul. | Make glad the soul of your servant; for it is lifted up to you, O Lord. | Rejoice the soul of Thy servant, For unto Thee, O Lord, my soul I lift up. | I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. | Psalms 86:5 | For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; Abundant in lovingkindness to all those who call on you. | You are good, O Lord, and full of forgiveness; your mercy is great to all who make their cry to you. | For Thou, Lord, [art] good and forgiving. And abundant in kindness to all calling Thee. | Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her. |

Listen to the voice of my petitions. | O Lord, give ear to my prayer; and take note of the sound of my requests. | Hear, O Jehovah, my prayer, And attend to the voice of my supplications. | The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her. |
