| Psalms 5:1 | Give ear to my words, Yahweh. Consider my meditation. | <To the chief music-maker on wind instruments. A Psalm. Of David.> Give ear to my words, O Lord; give thought to my heart-searchings. | To the Overseer, `Concerning the Inheritances.` A Psalm of David. My sayings hear, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation. | To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. |
| Psalms 5:2 | Listen to the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; For to you do I pray. | Let the voice of my cry come to you, my King and my God; for to you will I make my prayer. | Be attentive to the voice of my cry, My king and my God, For unto Thee I pray habitually. | Hearken to the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for to thee will I pray. |
| Psalms 5:3 | Yahweh, in the morning shall you hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly. | My voice will come to you in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I send my prayer to you, and keep watch. | Jehovah, [at] morning Thou hearest my voice, [At] morning I set in array for Thee, And I look out. | My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer to thee, and will look up. |

Evil can't live with you. | For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wrongdoing; there is no evil with you. | For not a God desiring wickedness [art] Thou, Evil inhabiteth Thee not. | For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. |

You hate all workers of iniquity. | The sons of pride have no place before you; you are a hater of all workers of evil. | The boastful station not themselves before Thine eyes: Thou hast hated all working iniquity. | The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. |
| Psalms 5:6 | You will destroy those who speak lies. Yahweh abhors the blood-thirsty and deceitful man. | You will send destruction on those whose words are false; the cruel man and the man of deceit are hated by the Lord. | Thou destroyest those speaking lies, A man of blood and deceit Jehovah doth abominate. | Thou shalt destroy them that speak falsehood: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. |
| Psalms 5:7 | But as for me, in the abundance of your lovingkindness I will come into your house: I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you. | But as for me, I will come into your house, in the full measure of your mercy; and in your fear I will give worship, turning my eyes to your holy Temple. | And I, in the abundance of Thy kindness, I enter Thy house, I bow myself toward Thy holy temple in Thy fear. | But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship towards thy holy temple. |

| Psalms 5:9 | For there is no faithfulness in their mouth. Their inward part is destruction. Their throat is an open tomb. They flatter with their tongue. | For no faith may be put in their words; their inner part is nothing but evil; their throat is like an open place for the dead; smooth are the words of their tongues. | For there is no stability in their mouth. Their heart [is] mischiefs, An open grave [is] their throat, Their tongue they make smooth. | For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue. |

Let them fall by their own counsels; Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions, For they have rebelled against you. | Send them to destruction, O Lord; let their evil designs be the cause of their fall; let them be forced out by all their sins; because they have gone against your authority. | Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall from their own counsels, In the abundance of their transgressions Drive them away, Because they have rebelled against Thee. | Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee. |
| Psalms 5:11 | But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice, Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you. | But let all those who put their faith in you be glad with cries of joy at all times, and let all the lovers of your name be glad in you. | And rejoice do all trusting in Thee, To the age they sing, and Thou coverest them over, And those loving Thy name exult in Thee. | But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. |
