| Psalms 6:1 | Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath. | <To the chief music-maker on corded instruments, on the Sheminith. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion. | To the Overseer with stringed instruments, on the octave. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, in Thine anger reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me. | To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. |
| Psalms 6:2 | Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled. | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled. | Favour me, O Jehovah, for I [am] weak, Heal me, O Jehovah, For troubled have been my bones, | Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are agitated. |
| Psalms 6:3 | My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh how long? | My soul is in bitter trouble; and you, O Lord, how long? | And my soul hath been troubled greatly, And Thou, O Jehovah, till when? | My soul is also greatly disquieted: but thou, O LORD, how long? |

Deliver my soul, And save me for your lovingkindness' sake. | Come back, O Lord, make my soul free; O give me salvation because of your mercy. | Turn back, O Jehovah, draw out my soul, Save me for Thy kindness` sake. | Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: Oh save me for thy mercies sake. |

In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? | For in death there is no memory of you; in the underworld who will give you praise? | For there is not in death Thy memorial, In Sheol, who doth give thanks to Thee? | For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who will give thee thanks? |
| Psalms 6:6 | I am weary with my groaning; Every night I flood my bed; I drench my couch with my tears. | The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes. | I have been weary with my sighing, I meditate through all the night [on] my bed, With my tear my couch I waste. | I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. |
| Psalms 6:7 | My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my adversaries. | My eyes are wasting away with trouble; they are becoming old because of all those who are against me. | Old from provocation is mine eye, It is old because of all mine adversaries, | My eye is consumed because of grief; it groweth old because of all my enemies. |

Psalm 7 A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite. | Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame. | Ashamed and troubled greatly are all mine enemies, They turn back ashamed [in] a moment! | Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly disquieted: let them return and be suddenly ashamed. |
