Psalms 6:1Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath.<To the chief music-maker on corded instruments, on the Sheminith. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion.To the Overseer with stringed instruments, on the octave. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, in Thine anger reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me.
Psalms 6:2Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled.Favour me, O Jehovah, for I [am] weak, Heal me, O Jehovah, For troubled have been my bones,
Psalms 6:3My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh how long?My soul is in bitter trouble; and you, O Lord, how long?And my soul hath been troubled greatly, And Thou, O Jehovah, till when?
Psalms 6:4Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, And save me for your lovingkindness' sake.Come back, O Lord, make my soul free; O give me salvation because of your mercy.Turn back, O Jehovah, draw out my soul, Save me for Thy kindness` sake.
Psalms 6:5For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks?For in death there is no memory of you; in the underworld who will give you praise?For there is not in death Thy memorial, In Sheol, who doth give thanks to Thee?
Psalms 6:6I am weary with my groaning; Every night I flood my bed; I drench my couch with my tears.The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes.I have been weary with my sighing, I meditate through all the night [on] my bed, With my tear my couch I waste.
Psalms 6:7My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my adversaries.My eyes are wasting away with trouble; they are becoming old because of all those who are against me.Old from provocation is mine eye, It is old because of all mine adversaries,
Psalms 6:8Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, For Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.Go from me, all you workers of evil; for the Lord has given ear to the voice of my weeping.Turn from me all ye workers of iniquity, For Jehovah heard the voice of my weeping,
Psalms 6:9Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh will receive my prayer.The Lord has given ear to my request; the Lord has let my prayer come before him.Jehovah hath heard my supplication, Jehovah my prayer receiveth.
Psalms 6:10May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly. Psalm 7 A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame.Ashamed and troubled greatly are all mine enemies, They turn back ashamed [in] a moment!
