| 2nd-Samuel 9:1 | David said, Is there yet any who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake? | And David said, Is there still anyone of Saul's family living, so that I may be a friend to him, because of Jonathan? |
| 2nd-Samuel 9:2 | There was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David; and the king said to him, Are you Ziba? He said, Your servant is he. | Now there was of Saul's people a servant named Ziba, and they sent him to David; and the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, I am. |
| 2nd-Samuel 9:3 | The king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God to him? Ziba said to the king, Jonathan has yet a son, who is lame of his feet. | And the king said, Is there anyone of Saul's family still living, to whom I may be a friend in God's name? And Ziba said, There is a son of Jonathan, whose feet are damaged. |

| 2nd-Samuel 9:7 | David said to him, "Don't be afraid of him; for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore you all the land of Saul your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually. | And David said to him, Have no fear: for truly I will be good to you, because of your father Jonathan, and I will give back to you all the land which was Saul's; and you will have a place at my table at all times. |
