2nd-Timothy 3:1But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come.But be certain of this, that in the last days times of trouble will come.
2nd-Timothy 3:2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, uplifted in pride, given to bitter words, going against the authority of their fathers, never giving praise, having no religion,
2nd-Timothy 3:3without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,Without natural love, bitter haters, saying evil of others, violent and uncontrolled, hating all good,
2nd-Timothy 3:4traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;False to their friends, acting without thought, lifted up in mind, loving pleasure more than God;
2nd-Timothy 3:5holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also.Having a form of religion, but turning their backs on the power of it: go not with these.
2nd-Timothy 3:6For of these are those who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,For these are they who go secretly into houses, making prisoners of foolish women, weighted down with sin, turned from the way by their evil desires,
2nd-Timothy 3:7always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.Ever learning, and never coming to the knowledge of what is true.
2nd-Timothy 3:8Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these also oppose the truth; men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.And as James and Jambres went against Moses, so do these go against what is true: men of evil minds, who, tested by faith, are seen to be false.
2nd-Timothy 3:9But they will proceed no further. For their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs also came to be.But they will go no farther: for their foolish behaviour will be clear to all men, as theirs was in the end.
2nd-Timothy 3:10But you did follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,But you took as your example my teaching, behaviour, purpose, and faith; my long waiting, my love, my quiet undergoing of trouble;
2nd-Timothy 3:11persecutions, and sufferings; those things that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; those persecutions that I endured. Out of them all the Lord delivered me.My punishments and pain; the things which came to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; the cruel attacks made on me: and the Lord made me free from them all.
2nd-Timothy 3:12Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.Yes, and all whose purpose is to be living in the knowledge of God in Christ Jesus, will be cruelly attacked.
2nd-Timothy 3:13But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.Evil and false men will become worse and worse, using deceit and themselves overcome by deceit.
2nd-Timothy 3:14But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.But see that you keep to the teaching you have been given and the things of which you are certain, conscious of who has been your teacher;
2nd-Timothy 3:15From infancy, you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.And that from the time when you were a child, you have had knowledge of the holy Writings, which are able to make you wise to salvation, through faith in Christ Jesus.
2nd-Timothy 3:16Every scripture inspired by God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness,Every holy Writing which comes from God is of profit for teaching, for training, for guiding, for education in righteousness:
2nd-Timothy 3:17that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely to every good work.So that the man of God may be complete, trained and made ready for every good work.
