Psalms 21:1The king rejoices in your strength, Yahweh! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} The king shall joy in thy strength, Jehovah; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice.<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> The king will be glad in your strength, O Lord; how great will be his delight in your salvation!Unto the end, for the morning protection, a psalm for David.
Psalms 21:2You have given him his heart's desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. You have given him his heart's desire, and have not kept back the request of his lips. (Selah.)O God my God, look upon me: why hast thou forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my sins.
Psalms 21:3For you meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of fine gold on his head. For thou hast met him with the blessings of goodness; thou hast set a crown of pure gold on his head. For you go before him with the blessings of good things: you put a crown of fair gold on his head.O my God, I shall cry by day, and thou wilt not hear: and by night, and it shall not be reputed as folly in me.
Psalms 21:4He asked life of you, you gave it to him, Even length of days forever and ever.He asked life of thee; thou gavest [it] him, length of days for ever and ever.He made request to you for life, and you gave it to him, long life for ever and ever. But thou dwellest in the holy place, the praise of Israel.
Psalms 21:5His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.His glory is great through thy salvation; majesty and splendour hast thou laid upon him.His glory is great in your salvation: honour and authority have you put on him.In thee have our fathers hoped: they have hoped, and thou hast delivered them.
Psalms 21:6For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence. For thou hast made him to be blessings for ever; thou hast filled him with joy by thy countenance. For you have made him a blessing for ever: you have given him joy in the light of your face. They cried to thee, and they were saved: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
Psalms 21:7For the king trusts in Yahweh. Through the lovingkindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved. For the king confideth in Jehovah: and through the loving-kindness of the Most High he shall not be moved. For the king has faith in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Most High he will not be moved. But I am a worm, and no man: the reproach of men, and the outcast of the people.
Psalms 21:8Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.Thy hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.Your hand will make a search for all your haters; your right hand will be hard on all those who are against you.All they that saw me have laughed me to scorn: they have spoken with the lips, and wagged the head.
Psalms 21:9You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thy presence; Jehovah shall swallow them up in his anger, and the fire shall devour them:You will make them like a flaming oven before you; the Lord in his wrath will put an end to them, and they will be burned up in the fire.He hoped in the Lord, let him deliver him: let him save him, seeing he delighteth in him.
Psalms 21:10You will destroy their descendants from the earth, Their posterity from among the children of men.Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.Their fruit will be cut off from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.For thou art he that hast drawn me out of the womb: my hope from the breasts of my mother.
Psalms 21:11For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed. For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a mischievous device, which they could not execute. For their thoughts were bitter against you: they had an evil design in their minds, which they were not able to put into effect.I was cast upon thee from the womb. From my mother's womb thou art my God,
Psalms 21:12For you will make them turn their back, When you aim drawn bows at their face. For thou wilt make them turn their back; thou wilt make ready thy bowstring against their face.Their backs will be turned when you make ready the cords of your bow against their faces.depart not from me. For tribulation is very near: for there is none to help me.
Psalms 21:13Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength, So we will sing and praise your power. Psalm 22 For the Chief Musician; set to "The Doe of the Morning." A Psalm by David.Be thou exalted, Jehovah, in thine own strength: we will sing and celebrate thy power.Be lifted up, O Lord, in your strength; so will we make songs in praise of your power. Many calves have surrounded me: fat bulls have besieged me.
