Psalms 30:1I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up, And have not made my foes to rejoice over me.{A Psalm of David: dedication-song of the house.} I will extol thee, Jehovah; for thou hast delivered me, and hast not made mine enemies to rejoice over me.<A Psalm. A Song at the blessing of the House. Of David.> I will give you praise and honour, O Lord, because through you I have been lifted up; you have not given my haters cause to be glad over me.Unto the end, a psalm for David, in an ecstasy.
Psalms 30:2Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.Jehovah my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.O Lord my God, I sent up my cry to you, and you have made me well.In thee, O Lord, have I hoped, Iet me never be confounded: deliver me in thy justice.
Psalms 30:3Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol, thou hast quickened me from among those that go down to the pit.O Lord, you have made my soul come again from the underworld: you have given me life and kept me from going down among the dead.Bow down thy ear to me: make haste to deliver me. Be thou unto me a God, a protector, and a house of refuge, to save me.
Psalms 30:4Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name.Sing psalms unto Jehovah, ye saints of his, and give thanks in remembrance of his holiness.Make songs to the Lord, O you saints of his, and give praise to his holy name. For thou art my strength and my refuge; and for thy name's sake thou wilt lead me, and nourish me.
Psalms 30:5For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, But joy comes in the morning. For a moment [is passed] in his anger, a life in his favour; at even weeping cometh for the night, and at morn there is rejoicing. For his wrath is only for a minute; in his grace there is life; weeping may be for a night, but joy comes in the morning.Thou wilt bring me out of this snare, which they have hidden for me: for thou art my protector.
Psalms 30:6As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be moved."As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved. When things went well for me I said, I will never be moved.Into thy hands I commend my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord, the God of truth.
Psalms 30:7You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain to stand strong. But when you hid your face, I was troubled.Jehovah, by thy favour thou hadst made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.Lord, by your grace you have kept my mountain strong: when your face was turned from me I was troubled.Thou hast hated them that regard vanities, to no purpose. But I have hoped in the Lord:
Psalms 30:8I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication:I called to thee, Jehovah, and unto the Lord did I make supplication:My voice went up to you, O Lord; I made my prayer to the Lord.I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy. For thou best regarded my humility, thou hast saved my soul out of distresses.
Psalms 30:9"What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth? What profit is there in my blood, in my going down to the pit? shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? What profit is there in my blood if I go down into the underworld? will the dust give you praise, or be a witness to your help? And thou hast not shut me up in the hands of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a spacious place.
Psalms 30:10Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper."Hear, O Jehovah, and be gracious unto me; Jehovah, be my helper.Give ear to me, O Lord, and have mercy on me: Lord, be my helper.Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am afflicted: my eye is troubled with wrath, my soul, and my belly:
Psalms 30:11You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;By you my sorrow is turned into dancing; you have taken away my clothing of grief, and given me robes of joy;For my life is wasted with grief: and my years in sighs. My strength is weakened through poverty and my bones are disturbed.
Psalms 30:12To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever. Psalm 31 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. That [my] glory may sing psalms of thee, and not be silent. Jehovah my God, I will praise thee for ever.So that my glory may make songs of praise to you and not be quiet. O Lord my God, I will give you praise for ever.I am become a reproach among all my enemies, and very much to my neighbours; and a fear to my acquaintance. They that saw me without fled from me.
