2nd-Thessalonians 2:1Now we beg you, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him,Now we beg you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to him,Now as to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and our meeting with him, it is our desire, my brothers,Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering to him.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:2to the end that you won't be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of Christ had come.that ye be not soon shaken in mind, nor troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as [if it were] by us, as that the day of the Lord is present.That you may not be moved in mind or troubled by a spirit, or by a word, or by a letter as from us, with the suggestion that the day of the Lord is even now come;That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:3Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction,Let not any one deceive you in any manner, because [it will not be] unless the apostasy have first come, and the man of sin have been revealed, the son of perdition;Give no belief to false words: because there will first be a falling away from the faith, and the revelation of the man of sin, the son of destruction,Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2nd-Thessalonians 2:4he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God.who opposes and exalts himself on high against all called God, or object of veneration; so that he himself sits down in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.Who puts himself against all authority, lifting himself up over all which is named God or is given worship; so that he takes his seat in the Temple of God, putting himself forward as God.Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:5Don't you remember that, when I was still with you, I told you these things?Do ye not remember that, being yet with you, I said these things to you?Have you no memory of what I said when I was with you, giving you word of these things?Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2nd-Thessalonians 2:6Now you know what is restraining him, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.And now ye know that which restrains, that he should be revealed in his own time.And now it is clear to you what is keeping back his revelation till the time comes for him to be seen.And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:7For the mystery of lawlessness does already work. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way.For the mystery of lawlessness already works; only [there is] he who restrains now until he be gone,For the secret of evil is even now at work: but there is one who is keeping back the evil till he is taken out of the way.For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now restraineth will restrain, until he be taken out of the way.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:8Then will the lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nothing by the brightness of his coming;and then the lawless one shall be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus shall consume with the breath of his mouth, and shall annul by the appearing of his coming;And then will come the revelation of that evil one, whom the Lord Jesus will put to death with the breath of his mouth, and give to destruction by the revelation of his coming;And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of his mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:9even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,whose coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and signs and wonders of falsehood,Even the one whose coming is marked by the working of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:10and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn't receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.and in all deceit of unrighteousness to them that perish, because they have not received the love of the truth that they might be saved.And with every deceit of wrongdoing among those whose fate is destruction; because they were quite without that love of the true faith by which they might have salvation.And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:11Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;And for this reason God sends to them a working of error, that they should believe what is false,And for this cause, God will give them up to the power of deceit and they will put their faith in what is false:And for this cause God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:12that they all might be judged who didn't believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.that all might be judged who have not believed the truth, but have found pleasure in unrighteousness.So that they all may be judged, who had no faith in what is true, but took pleasure in evil.That they all may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:13But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth;But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of [the] Lord, that God has chosen you from [the] beginning to salvation in sanctification of [the] Spirit and belief of [the] truth:But it is right for us to give praise to God at all times for you, brothers, loved by the Lord, because it was the purpose of God from the first that you might have salvation, being made holy by the Spirit and by faith in what is true:But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:14whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.whereto he has called you by our glad tidings, to [the] obtaining of [the] glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.And in this purpose he gave you a part through the good news of which we were the preachers, even that you might have part in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:15So then, brothers, stand firm, and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word, or by letter.So then, brethren, stand firm, and hold fast the instructions which ye have been taught, whether by word or by our letter.So then, brothers, be strong in purpose, and keep the teaching which has been given to you by word or by letter from us.Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,But our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us, and given [us] eternal consolation and good hope by grace,Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who had love for us and has given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:17comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.encourage your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.Give you comfort and strength in every good work and word.Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
