Job 19:1Then Job answered,And Job answered and said,And Job made answer and said,Then Job answered and said,
Job 19:2"How long will you torment me, And crush me with words? How long will ye vex my soul, and crush me with words? How long will you make my life bitter, crushing me with words? How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?
Job 19:3You have reproached me ten times. You aren't ashamed that you attack me.These ten times have ye reproached me; ye are not ashamed to stupefy me.Ten times now you have made sport of me; it gives you no sense of shame to do me wrong. These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.
Job 19:4If it is true that I have erred, My error remains with myself. And be it [that] I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself. And, truly, if I have been in error, the effect of my error is only on myself. And be it indeed that I have erred, my error remaineth with myself.
Job 19:5If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, And plead against me my reproach; If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and prove against me my reproach,If you make yourselves great against me, using my punishment as an argument against me,If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
Job 19:6Know now that God has subverted me, And has surrounded me with his net.Know now that +God hath overthrown me, and hath surrounded me with his net.Be certain that it is God who has done me wrong, and has taken me in his net.Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath encompassed me with his net.
Job 19:7"Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry for help, but there is no justice.Behold, I cry out of wrong, and I am not heard; I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.Truly, I make an outcry against the violent man, but there is no answer: I give a cry for help, but no one takes up my cause.Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.
Job 19:8He has walled up my way so that I can't pass, And has set darkness in my paths. He hath hedged up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths. My way is walled up by him so that I may not go by: he has made my roads dark.He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.
Job 19:9He has stripped me of my glory, And taken the crown from my head.He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.He has put off my glory from me, and taken the crown from my head.He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
Job 19:10He has broken me down on every side, and I am gone. My hope he has plucked up like a tree.He breaketh me down on every side, and I am gone; and my hope hath he torn up as a tree.I am broken down by him on every side, and I am gone; my hope is uprooted like a tree.He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and my hope hath he removed like a tree.
Job 19:11He has also kindled his wrath against me. He counts me among his adversaries. And he hath kindled his anger against me, and hath counted me unto him as one of his enemies. His wrath is burning against me, and I am to him as one of his haters. He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me to him as one of his enemies.
Job 19:12His troops come on together, Build a siege ramp against me, And encamp around my tent. His troops have come together and cast up their way against me, and have encamped round about my tent. His armies come on together, they make their road high against me, and put up their tents round mine. His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp around my tabernacle.
Job 19:13"He has put my brothers far from me. My acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are quite estranged from me.He has taken my brothers far away from me; they have seen my fate and have become strange to me.He hath put my brethren far from me, and my acquaintance are verily estranged from me.
Job 19:14My relatives have gone away. My familiar friends have forgotten me.My kinsfolk have failed, and my known friends have forgotten me.My relations and my near friends have given me up, and those living in my house have put me out of their minds. My kinsmen have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.
Job 19:15Those who dwell in my house, and my maids, count me for a stranger. I am an alien in their sight. The sojourners in my house and my maids count me as a stranger; I am an alien in their sight.I am strange to my women-servants, and seem to them as one from another country. They that dwell in my house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
Job 19:16I call to my servant, and he gives me no answer; I beg him with my mouth.I called my servant, and he answered not; I entreated him with my mouth. At my cry my servant gives me no answer, and I have to make a prayer to him.I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I entreated him with my mouth.
Job 19:17My breath is offensive to my wife. I am loathsome to the children of my own mother. My breath is strange to my wife, and my entreaties to the children of my [mother's] womb.My breath is strange to my wife, and I am disgusting to the offspring of my mother's body.My breath is strange to my wife, though I entreated for the children's sake of my own body.
Job 19:18Even young children despise me. If I arise, they speak against me.Even young children despise me; I rise up, and they speak against me.Even young children have no respect for me; when I get up their backs are turned on me.Yes, young children despised me; I arose, and they spoke against me.
Job 19:19All my familiar friends abhor me. They whom I loved have turned against me.All my intimate friends abhor me, and they whom I loved are turned against me.All the men of my circle keep away from me; and those dear to me are turned against me.All my intimate friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
Job 19:20My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh. I have escaped by the skin of my teeth. My bones cleave to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth. My bones are joined to my skin, and I have got away with my flesh in my teeth. My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I have escaped with the skin of my teeth.
Job 19:21"Have pity on me, have pity on me, you my friends; For the hand of God has touched me.Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, ye my friends; for the hand of +God hath touched me.Have pity on me, have pity on me, O my friends! for the hand of God is on me.Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
Job 19:22Why do you persecute me as God, And are not satisfied with my flesh? Why do ye persecute me as ùGod, and are not satisfied with my flesh? Why are you cruel to me, like God, for ever saying evil against me?Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
Job 19:23"Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!Oh would that my words were written! oh that they were inscribed in a book!If only my words might be recorded! if they might be put in writing in a book!Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
Job 19:24That with an iron pen and lead They were engraved in the rock forever! That with an iron style and lead they were graven in the rock for ever! And with an iron pen and lead be cut into the rock for ever! That they were graven with an iron pen in lead, in the rock for ever!
Job 19:25But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth. And [as for] me, I know that my Redeemer liveth, and the Last, he shall stand upon the earth; But I am certain that he who will take up my cause is living, and that in time to come he will take his place on the dust; For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he will stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Job 19:26After my skin is destroyed, Then in my flesh shall I see God,And [if] after my skin this shall be destroyed, yet from out of my flesh shall I see +God;And ... without my flesh I will see God;And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Job 19:27Whom I, even I, shall see on my side. My eyes shall see, and not as a stranger. "My heart is consumed within me.Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another: my reins are consumed within me.Whom I will see on my side, and not as one strange to me. My heart is broken with desire.Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Job 19:28If you say, 'How we will persecute him!' Because the root of the matter is found in me,If ye say, How shall we persecute him? when the root of the matter is found in me,If you say, How cruel we will be to him! because the root of sin is clearly in him:But ye would say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
Job 19:29Be afraid of the sword, For wrath brings the punishments of the sword, That you may know there is a judgment."Be ye yourselves afraid of the sword! for the sword is fury against misdeeds, that ye may know there is a judgment.Be in fear of the sword, for the sword is the punishment for such things, so that you may be certain that there is a judge.Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
