Psalms 14:1The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have done abominable works. There is none who does good.{To the chief Musician. Psalms 14:2Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, To see if there were any who did understand, Who did seek after God.Jehovah looked down from the heavens upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.The Lord was looking down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who had wisdom, searching after God.
Psalms 14:3They have all gone aside; they have together become corrupt. There is none who does good, no, not one. They have all gone aside, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one. They have all gone out of the way together; they are unclean, there is not one who does good, no, not one.
Psalms 14:4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And don't call on Yahweh?Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people [as] they eat bread? They call not upon Jehovah.Have all the workers of evil no knowledge? they take my people for food as they would take bread; they make no prayer to the Lord.
Psalms 14:5There were they in great fear, For God is in the generation of the righteous. There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous. Then were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the upright.
Psalms 14:6You put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Yahweh is his refuge.Ye have shamed the counsel of the afflicted, because Jehovah [was] his refuge. You have put to shame the thoughts of the poor, but the Lord is his support.
