Psalms 50:1The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks, And calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.{A Psalm. Of Asaph.} ùGod, Elohim-Jehovah, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.<A Psalm. Of Asaph.> The God of gods, even the Lord, has sent out his voice, and the earth is full of fear; from the coming up of the sun to its going down.
Psalms 50:2Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth.From Zion, most beautiful of places, God has sent out his light.
Psalms 50:3Our God comes, and does not keep silence. A fire devours before him. It is very tempestuous around him.Our God will come, and will not keep silence: fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.Our God will come, and will not keep quiet; with fire burning before him, and storm-winds round him.
Psalms 50:4He calls to the heavens above, To the earth, that he may judge his people:He will call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people:His voice will go out to the heavens and to the earth, for the judging of his people:
Psalms 50:5"Gather my saints together to me, Those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."Gather unto me my godly ones, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice!Let my saints come together to me; those who have made an agreement with me by offerings.
Psalms 50:6The heavens shall declare his righteousness, For God himself is judge. Selah.And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; for God executeth judgment himself. Selah.And let the heavens make clear his righteousness; for God himself is the judge. (Selah.)
Psalms 50:7"Hear, my people, and I will speak; Israel, and I will testify against you. I am God, your God.Hear, my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God, thy God.Give ear, O my people, to my words; O Israel, I will be a witness against you; I am God, even your God.
Psalms 50:8I don't rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me.I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, or thy burnt-offerings, continually before me;I will not take up a cause against you because of your offerings, or because of your burned offerings, which are ever before me.
Psalms 50:9I have no need for a bull from your stall, Nor male goats from your pens.I will take no bullock out of thy house, [nor] he-goats out of thy folds:I will take no ox out of your house, or he-goats from your flocks;
Psalms 50:10For every animal of the forest is mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle upon a thousand hills;For every beast of the woodland is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
Psalms 50:11I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine.I know all the fowl of the mountains, and the roaming creatures of the field are mine:I see all the birds of the mountains, and the beasts of the field are mine.
Psalms 50:12If I were hungry, I would not tell you, For the world is mine, and all that is in it.If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.If I had need of food, I would not give you word of it; for the earth is mine and all its wealth.
Psalms 50:13Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?Should I eat the flesh of bulls, and drink the blood of goats?Am I to take the flesh of the ox for my food, or the blood of goats for my drink?
Psalms 50:14Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Most High.Offer unto God thanksgiving, and perform thy vows unto the Most High;Make an offering of praise to God; keep the agreements which you have made with the Most High;
Psalms 50:15Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me."And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.Let your voice come up to me in the day of trouble; I will be your saviour, so that you may give glory to me.
Psalms 50:16But to the wicked God says, "What right do you have to declare my statutes, That you have taken my covenant on your lips,But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant into thy mouth,But to the sinner, God says, What are you doing, talking of my laws, or taking the words of my agreement in your mouth?
Psalms 50:17Seeing you hate instruction, And throw my words behind you?Seeing thou hast hated correction and hast cast my words behind thee?Seeing that you have no desire for my teaching, turning your back on my words.
Psalms 50:18When you saw a thief, you consented with him, And have participated with adulterers.When thou sawest a thief, thou didst take pleasure in him, and thy portion was with adulterers;When you saw a thief, you were in agreement with him, and you were joined with those who took other men's wives.
Psalms 50:19"You give your mouth to evil. Your tongue harnesses deceit.Thou lettest thy mouth loose to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit;You have given your mouth to evil, your tongue to words of deceit.
Psalms 50:20You sit and speak against your brother. You slander your own mother's son.Thou sittest [and] speakest against thy brother, thou revilest thine own mother's son:You say evil of your brother; you make false statements against your mother's son.
Psalms 50:21You have done these things, and I kept silence. You thought that the "I AM" was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.These [things] hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether as thyself: [but] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.These things have you done, and I said nothing; it seemed to you that I was such a one as yourself; but I will make a protest against you, and put them in order before your eyes.
Psalms 50:22"Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.Now consider this, ye that forget +God, lest I tear in pieces, and there be no deliverer.Now keep this in mind, you who have no memory of God, for fear that you may be crushed under my hand, with no one to give you help:
Psalms 50:23Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, And prepares his way so that I will show God's salvation to him." Psalm 51 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me; and to him that ordereth [his] way will I shew the salvation of God.Whoever makes an offering of praise gives glory to me; and to him who is upright in his ways I will make clear the salvation of God.
