2nd-Corinthians 3:1Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as do some, letters of commendation to you or from you?Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or do we need, as some, commendatory letters to you, or [commendatory] from you?Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need (as some do) epistles of commendation to you, or from you?Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? or need we, as do some, epistles of commendation to you or from you?
2nd-Corinthians 3:2You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men;*Ye* are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read of all men,You are our epistle, written in our hearts, which is known and read by all men:Ye are our epistle, written in our hearts, known and read of all men;
2nd-Corinthians 3:3being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.being manifested to be Christ's epistle ministered by us, written, not with ink, but [the] Spirit of [the] living God; not on stone tables, but on fleshy tables of [the] heart.Being manifested, that you are the epistle of Christ, ministered by us, and written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in the fleshly tables of the heart.being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables [that are] hearts of flesh.
2nd-Corinthians 3:4Such confidence we have through Christ toward God;And such confidence have we through the Christ towards God:And such confidence we have, through Christ, towards God.And such confidence have we through Christ to God-ward:
2nd-Corinthians 3:5not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;not that we are competent of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our competency [is] of God;Not that we are sufficient to think any thing of ourselves, as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is from God.not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;
2nd-Corinthians 3:6who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit. For the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.who has also made us competent, [as] ministers of [the] new covenant; not of letter, but of spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit quickens.Who also hath made us fit ministers of the new testament, not in the letter, but in the spirit. For the letter killeth, but the spirit quickeneth.who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
2nd-Corinthians 3:7But if the service of death, written engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look steadfastly on the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which was passing away:(But if the ministry of death, in letters, graven in stones, began with glory, so that the children of Israel could not fix their eyes on the face of Moses, on account of the glory of his face, [a glory] which is annulled;Now if the ministration of death, engraven with letters upon stones, was glorious; so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenance, which is made void:But if the ministration of death, written, [and] engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which [glory] was passing away:
2nd-Corinthians 3:8won't rather service of the spirit be rather with more glory?how shall not rather the ministry of the Spirit subsist in glory?How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather in glory?how shall not rather the ministration of the spirit be with glory?
2nd-Corinthians 3:9For if the service of condemnation has glory, much rather does the service of righteousness exceed in glory.For if the ministry of condemnation [be] glory, much rather the ministry of righteousness abounds in glory.For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more the ministration of justice aboundeth in glory.For if the ministration of condemnation hath glory, much rather doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
2nd-Corinthians 3:10For most assuredly that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasses.For also that [which was] glorified is not glorified in this respect, on account of the surpassing glory.For even that which was glorious in this part was not glorified, by reason of the glory that excelleth.For verily that which hath been made glorious hath not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasseth.
2nd-Corinthians 3:11For if that which passes away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.For if that annulled [was introduced] with glory, much rather that which abides [subsists] in glory.For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is in glory.For if that which passeth away [was] with glory, much more that which remaineth [is] in glory.
2nd-Corinthians 3:12Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,Having therefore such hope, we use much boldness:Having therefore such hope, we use much confidence:Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,
2nd-Corinthians 3:13and not as Moses, who put a veil on his face, that the children of Israel wouldn't look steadfastly on the end of that which was passing away.and not according as Moses put a veil on his own face, so that the children of Israel should not fix their eyes on the end of that annulled.And not as Moses put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel might not steadfastly look on the face of that which is made void.and [are] not as Moses, [who] put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel should not look stedfastly on the end of that which was passing away:
2nd-Corinthians 3:14But their minds were hardened, for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, because in Christ in passes away.But their thoughts have been darkened, for unto this day the same veil remains in reading the old covenant, unremoved, which in Christ is annulled.But their senses were made dull. For, until this present day, the selfsame veil, in the reading of the old testament, remaineth not taken away (because in Christ it is made void).but their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remaineth, it not being revealed [to them] that it is done away in Christ.
2nd-Corinthians 3:15But to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.But unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil lies upon their heart.But even until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.But unto this day, whensoever Moses is read, a veil lieth upon their heart.
2nd-Corinthians 3:16But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.But when it shall turn to [the] Lord, the veil is taken away.)But when they shall be converted to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.But whensoever it shall turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2nd-Corinthians 3:17Now the Lord is the Spirita and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.Now the Lord is the Spirit, but where the Spirit of [the] Lord [is, there is] liberty.Now the Lord is a Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, [there] is liberty.
2nd-Corinthians 3:18But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.But *we* all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by [the] Lord [the] Spirit.But we all beholding the glory of the Lord with open face, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.
