Job 3:1After this Job opened his mouth, and cursed the day of his birth.After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed his day.After this Job opened his mouth, and cursed his day,Then, opening his mouth, and cursing the day of his birth,
Job 3:2Job answered:And Job answered and said,and he said:Job made answer and said,
Job 3:3"Let the day perish in which I was born, The night which said, 'There is a man-child conceived.'Let the day perish in which I was born, and the night that said, There is a man child conceived.Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said: A man child is conceived.Let destruction take the day of my birth, and the night on which it was said, A man child has come into the world.
Job 3:4Let that day be darkness; Don't let God from above seek for it, Neither let the light shine on it.That day let it be darkness, let not +God care for it from above, neither let light shine upon it:Let that day be turned into darkness, let not God regard it from above, and let not the light shine upon it.That day let it be dark; let not God take note of it from on high, and let not the light be shining on it;
Job 3:5Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own. Let a cloud dwell on it. Let all that makes black the day terrify it.Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it; let clouds dwell upon it; let darkeners of the day terrify it.Let darkness, and the shadow of death cover it, let a mist overspread it, and let it be wrapped up in bitterness.Let the dark and the black night take it for themselves; let it be covered with a cloud; let the dark shades of day send fear on it.
Job 3:6As for that night, let thick darkness seize on it. Let it not rejoice among the days of the year. Let it not come into the number of the months.That night let gloom seize upon it; let it not rejoice among the days of the year; let it not come into the number of the months.Let a darksome whirlwind seize upon that night, let it not be counted in the days of the year, nor numbered in the months.That night let the thick dark take it; let it not have joy among the days of the year; let it not come into the number of the months.
Job 3:7Behold, let that night be barren. Let no joyful voice come therein.Behold, let that night be barren; let no joyful sound come therein;Let that night be solitary, and not worthy of praise.As for that night, let it have no fruit; let no voice of joy be sounded in it;
Job 3:8Let them curse it who curse the day, Who are ready to rouse up leviathan.Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to rouse Leviathan;Let them curse it who curse the day. who are ready to raise up a leviathan:Let it be cursed by those who put a curse on the day; who are ready to make Leviathan awake.
Job 3:9Let the stars of the twilight of it be dark. Let it look for light, but have none, Neither let it see the eyelids of the morning,Let the stars of its twilight be dark; let it wait for light, and have none, neither let it see the eyelids of the dawn:Let the stars be darkened with the mist thereof: let it expect light and not see it, nor the rising of the dawning of the day:Let its morning stars be dark; let it be looking for light, but may it not have any; let it not see the eyes of the dawn.
Job 3:10Because it didn't shut up the doors of my mother's womb, Nor did it hide trouble from my eyes.Because it shut not up the doors of the womb that bore me, and hid not trouble from mine eyes.Because it shut not up the doors of the womb that bore me, nor took away evils from my eyes.Because it did not keep the doors of my mother's body shut, so that trouble might be veiled from my eyes.
Job 3:11"Why didn't I die from the womb? Why didn't I give up the spirit when my mother bore me?Wherefore did I not die from the womb, come forth from the belly and expire?Why did I not die in the womb, why did I not perish when I came out of the belly?Why did death not take me when I came out of my mother's body, why did I not, when I came out, give up my last breath?
Job 3:12Why did the knees receive me? Or why the breast, that I should suck?Why did the knees meet me? and wherefore the breasts, that I should suck?Why received upon the knees? why suckled at the breasts ?Why did the knees take me, or why the breasts that they might give me milk?
Job 3:13For now should I have lain down and been quiet. I should have slept, then I would have been at rest,For now should I have lain down and been quiet; I should have slept: then had I been at rest,For now I should have been asleep and still, and should have rest in my sleep.For then I might have gone to my rest in quiet, and in sleep have been in peace,
Job 3:14With kings and counselors of the earth, Who built up waste places for themselves;With kings and counsellors of the earth, who build desolate places for themselves,With kings and consuls of the earth, who build themselves solitudes:With kings and the wise ones of the earth, who put up great houses for themselves;
Job 3:15Or with princes who had gold, Who filled their houses with silver:Or with princes who had gold, who filled their houses with silver;Or with princes, that possess gold, and All their houses with silver:Or with rulers who had gold, and whose houses were full of silver;
Job 3:16Or as a hidden untimely birth I had not been, As infants who never saw light.Or as a hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants that have not seen the light.Or as a hidden untimely birth I should not be, or as they that being conceived have not seen the light.Or as a child dead at birth I might never have come into existence; like young children who have not seen the light.
Job 3:17There the wicked cease from troubling; There the weary are at rest.There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the wearied are at rest.There the wicked cease from tumult, and there the wearied in strength are at rest.There the passions of the evil are over, and those whose strength has come to an end have rest.
Job 3:18There the prisoners are at ease together. They don't hear the voice of the taskmaster.The prisoners together are at ease; they hear not the voice of the taskmaster.And they sometime bound together without disquiet, have not heard the voice of the oppressor.There the prisoners are at peace together; the voice of the overseer comes not again to their ears.
Job 3:19The small and the great are there. The servant is free from his master.The small and great are there, and the bondman freed from his master.The small and great are there, and the servant is free from his master.The small and the great are there, and the servant is free from his master.
Job 3:20"Why is light given to him who is in misery, Life to the bitter in soul,Wherefore is light given to him that is in trouble, and life to those bitter of soul,Why is light given to him that is in misery, and life to them that are in bitterness of soul?Why does he give light to him who is in trouble, and life to the bitter in soul;
Job 3:21Who long for death, but it doesn't come; Dig for it more than for hidden treasures,Who long for death, and it [cometh] not, and dig for it more than for hidden treasures;That look for death, and it cometh not, as they that dig for a treasure:To those whose desire is for death, but it comes not; who are searching for it more than for secret wealth;
Job 3:22Who rejoice exceedingly, Are glad, when they can find the grave?Who rejoice even exultingly and are glad when they find the grave?And they rejoice exceedingly when they have found the grave.Who are glad with great joy, and full of delight when they come to their last resting-place;
Job 3:23Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, Whom God has hedged in?To the man whose way is hidden, and whom +God hath hedged in?To a man whose way is hidden, and God hath surrounded him with darkness?To a man whose way is veiled, and who is shut in by God?
Job 3:24For my sighing comes before I eat, My groanings are poured out like water.For my sighing cometh before my bread, and my groanings are poured out like the waters.Before I eat I sigh: and as overflowing waters, so is my roaring:In place of my food I have grief, and cries of sorrow come from me like water.
Job 3:25For the thing which I fear comes on me, That which I am afraid of comes to me.For I feared a fear, and it hath come upon me, and that which I dreaded hath come to me.For the fear which I feared hath come upon me: and that which I was afraid of, hath befallen me.For I have a fear and it comes on me, and my heart is greatly troubled.
Job 3:26I am not at ease, neither am I quiet, neither have I rest; But trouble comes."I was not in safety, neither had I quietness, neither was I at rest, and trouble came.Have I not dissembled ? have I not kept silence ? have I not been quiet? and indignation is come upon me.I have no peace, no quiet, and no rest; nothing but pain comes on me.
