| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:1 | Now we beg you, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him, | Now we beg you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to him, | And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him: | Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering to him. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:2 | to the end that you won't be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of Christ had come. | that ye be not soon shaken in mind, nor troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as [if it were] by us, as that the day of the Lord is present. | That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand. | That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:3 | Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction, | Let not any one deceive you in any manner, because [it will not be] unless the apostasy have first come, and the man of sin have been revealed, the son of perdition; | Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, | Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:4 | he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God. | who opposes and exalts himself on high against all called God, or object of veneration; so that he himself sits down in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. | Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God. | Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:5 | Don't you remember that, when I was still with you, I told you these things? | Do ye not remember that, being yet with you, I said these things to you? | Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? | Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:6 | Now you know what is restraining him, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season. | And now ye know that which restrains, that he should be revealed in his own time. | And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. | And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:7 | For the mystery of lawlessness does already work. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way. | For the mystery of lawlessness already works; only [there is] he who restrains now until he be gone, | For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. | For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now restraineth will restrain, until he be taken out of the way. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:8 | Then will the lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nothing by the brightness of his coming; | and then the lawless one shall be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus shall consume with the breath of his mouth, and shall annul by the appearing of his coming; | And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, | And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of his mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of his coming: |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:9 | even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, | whose coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and signs and wonders of falsehood, | Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, | Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:10 | and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn't receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. | and in all deceit of unrighteousness to them that perish, because they have not received the love of the truth that they might be saved. | And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying: | And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:11 | Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie; | And for this reason God sends to them a working of error, that they should believe what is false, | That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. | And for this cause God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:12 | that they all might be judged who didn't believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. | that all might be judged who have not believed the truth, but have found pleasure in unrighteousness. | But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth: | That they all may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:13 | But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth; | But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of [the] Lord, that God has chosen you from [the] beginning to salvation in sanctification of [the] Spirit and belief of [the] truth: | Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. | But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth: |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:14 | whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. | whereto he has called you by our glad tidings, to [the] obtaining of [the] glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. | Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. | To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:15 | So then, brothers, stand firm, and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word, or by letter. | So then, brethren, stand firm, and hold fast the instructions which ye have been taught, whether by word or by our letter. | Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hathloved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace, | Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:16 | Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, | But our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us, and given [us] eternal consolation and good hope by grace, | Exhort your hearts, and confirm you in every good work and word. | Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, |
| 2nd-Thessalonians 2:17 | comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word. | encourage your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word. | | Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work. |
