Job 35:1Moreover Elihu answered,Moreover Elihu answered and said,Moreover Eliu spoke these words :Elihu spoke moreover, and said,
Job 35:2"Do you think this to be your right, Or do you say, 'My righteousness is more than God's,'Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than ùGod's?Doth thy thought seem right to thee, that thou shouldst say : I am more just than God?Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?
Job 35:3That you ask, 'What advantage will it be to you? What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?'For thou hast asked of what profit it is unto thee: what do I gain more than if I had sinned?For thou saidst : That which is right doth not please thee : or what will it profit thee if I sin?For thou saidst, What advantage will it be to thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
Job 35:4I will answer you, And your companions with you.I will reply to thee in words, and to thy companions with thee.Therefore I will answer thy words, and thy friends with thee.I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
Job 35:5Look to the heavens, and see. See the skies, which are higher than you.Look unto the heavens and see; and survey the skies: they are higher than thou.Look up to heaven and see, and behold the sky, that it is higher than thee.Look to the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
Job 35:6If you have sinned, what effect do you have against him? If your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? If thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?If thou sin, what shalt thou hurt him? and if thy iniquities be multiplied, what shalt thou do against him?If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions are multiplied, what doest thou to him?
Job 35:7If you are righteous, what do you give him? Or what does he receive from your hand?If thou be righteous, what givest thou to him? or what doth he receive of thy hand?And if thou do justly, what shalt thou give him, or what shall he receive of thy hand?If thou art righteous, what givest thou to him? or what receiveth he from thy hand?
Job 35:8Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are; And your righteousness may profit a son of man.Thy wickedness [may affect] a man as thou [art], and thy righteousness a son of man.Thy wickedness may hurt a man that is like thee : and thy justice may help the son of man.Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art: and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
Job 35:9"By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry; they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty:By reason of the multitude of oppressions they shall cry out : and shall wail for the violence of the arm of tyrants.By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
Job 35:10But none says, 'Where is God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night,But none saith, Where is +God my Maker, who giveth songs in the night,And he hath not said : Where is God, who made me, who hath given songs in the night?But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
Job 35:11Who teaches us more than the animals of the earth, And makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?'Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowl of the heavens?Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and instructeth us more than the fowls of the air.Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
Job 35:12There they cry, but none gives answer, Because of the pride of evil men.There they cry, and he answereth not, because of the pride of evil men.There shall they cry, and he will not hear, because of the pride of evil men.There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
Job 35:13Surely God will not hear an empty cry, Neither will the Almighty regard it.Surely ùGod will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.God therefore will not hear in vain, and the Almighty will look into the causes of every one.Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
Job 35:14How much less when you say you don't see him. The cause is before him, and you wait for him!Although thou sayest thou dost not see him, judgment is before him, therefore wait for him.Yea when thou shalt say : He considereth not : be judged before him, and expect him.Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
Job 35:15But now, because he has not visited in his anger, Neither does he greatly regard arrogance.But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, doth not [Job] know [his] great arrogancy?For he doth not now bring on his fury, neither doth he revenge wickedness exceedingly.But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
Job 35:16Therefore Job opens his mouth with empty talk, And he multiplies words without knowledge."For Job hath opened his mouth in vanity, and made words abundant without knowledge.Therefore Job openeth his mouth in vain, and multiplieth words without knowledge.Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
