Psalms 54:1Save me, God, by your name. Vindicate me in your might.{To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments: an instruction. Of David; when the Ziphites came, and said to Saul, Is not David hiding himself with us?} O God, by thy name save me, and by thy strength do me justice.Unto the end, in verses, understanding for David.To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
Psalms 54:2Hear my prayer, God. Listen to the words of my mouth.O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.Hear, O God, my prayer, and despise not my supplication:Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
Psalms 54:3For strangers have risen up against me. Violent men have sought after my soul. They haven't set God before them. Selah.For strangers are risen up against me, and the violent seek after my life: they have not set God before them. Selah.the same are darts.For strangers have risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
Psalms 54:4Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul.Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is among them that uphold my soul.be attentive to me and hear me. I am grieved in my exercise; and am troubled,Behold, God is my helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
Psalms 54:5He will repay the evil to my enemies. Destroy them in your truth.He will requite evil to mine enemies: in thy truth cut them off.at the voice of the enemy, and at the tribulation of the sinner. For they have cast iniquities upon me: and in wrath they were troublesome to me.He will reward evil to my enemies; cut them off in thy truth.
Psalms 54:6With a free will offering, I will sacrifice to you. I will give thanks to your name, Yahweh, for it is good.I will freely sacrifice unto thee; I will praise thy name, O Jehovah, because it is good.My heart is troubled within me: and the fear of death is fallen upon me.I will freely sacrifice to thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
Psalms 54:7For he has delivered me out of all trouble. My eye has seen triumph over my enemies. Psalm 55 For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A contemplation by David.For he hath delivered me out of all trouble; and mine eye hath seen [its desire] upon mine enemies.Fear and trembling are come upon me: and darkness hath covered me.For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye hath seen its desire upon my enemies.
