| Psalms 16:1 | Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. | {Michtam of David.} Preserve me, O ùGod: for I trust in thee. | The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips. | A Secret Treasure of David. Preserve me, O God, for I did trust in Thee. |

| Psalms 16:3 | As for the saints who are in the earth, They are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. | To the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent [thou hast said], In them is all my delight. | Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me. | For the holy ones who [are] in the land, And the honourable, all my delight [is] in them. |
| Psalms 16:4 | Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take their names on my lips. | Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, and I will not take up their names into my lips. | That my mouth may not speak the works of men: for the sake of the words of thy lips, I have kept hard ways. | Multiplied are their griefs, [Who] have hastened backward; I pour not out their libations of blood, Nor do I take up their names on my lips. |
