Isaiah 6:1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.In the year of the death of king Uzziah, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.
Isaiah 6:2Above him stood the seraphim: each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he did fly.Seraphim were standing above him: each had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he flew.
Isaiah 6:3One cried to another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.And one called to the other and said, Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!
Isaiah 6:4The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who cried, and the house was filled with smoke.And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isaiah 6:5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Hosts.And I said, Woe unto me! for I am undone; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.
Isaiah 6:6Then flew one of the seraphim to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:And one of the seraphim flew unto me, and he had in his hand a glowing coal, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar;
Isaiah 6:7and he touched my mouth with it, and said, Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.and he made it touch my mouth, and said, Behold, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin expiated.
Isaiah 6:8I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I; send me.And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? And I said, Here am I; send me.
Isaiah 6:9He said, Go, and tell this people, Hear you indeed, but don't understand; and see you indeed, but don't perceive.And he said, Go; and thou shalt say unto this people, Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive.
Isaiah 6:10Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and healed.
Isaiah 6:11Then said I, Lord, how long? He answered, Until cities be waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land become utterly waste,And I said, Lord, how long? And he said, Until the cities be wasted, without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land become an utter desolation,
Isaiah 6:12and Yahweh have removed men far away, and the forsaken places be many in the midst of the land.and Jehovah have removed men far away, and the solitude be great in the midst of the land.
Isaiah 6:13If there be yet a tenth in it, it also shall in turn be eaten up: as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remains, when they are felled; so the holy seed is the stock of it.But a tenth part shall still be therein, and it shall return and be eaten; as the terebinth and as the oak whose trunk [remaineth] after the felling: the holy seed shall be the trunk thereof.
