| Psalms 3:1 | Yahweh, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me. | The psalm of David when he fled from the face of his son Absalom. | <A Psalm. Of David. When he went in flight from Absalom his son.> Lord, how greatly are they increased who make attacks on me! in great numbers they come against me. | A Psalm of David, in his fleeing from the face of Absalom his son. Jehovah, how have my distresses multiplied! Many are rising up against me. |
| Psalms 3:2 | Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. | Why, O Lord, are they multiplied that afflict me? many are they who rise up against me. | Unnumbered are those who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. (Selah.) | Many are saying of my soul, `There is no salvation for him in God.` Selah. |
| Psalms 3:3 | But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, My glory, and the one who lifts up my head. | Many say to my soul: There is no salvation for him in his God. | But your strength, O Lord, is round me, you are my glory and the lifter up of my head. | And Thou, O Jehovah, [art] a shield for me, My honour, and lifter up of my head. |

Selah. | But thou, O Lord art my protector, my glory, and the lifter up of my head. | I send up a cry to the Lord with my voice, and he gives me an answer from his holy hill.
