| Psalms 17:3 | You have proved my heart; you have visited me in the night; You have tried me, and found nothing; I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey. | Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. | You have put my heart to the test, searching me in the night; you have put me to the test and seen no evil purpose in me; I will keep my mouth from sin. | Thou hast proved my heart, Thou hast inspected by night, Thou hast tried me, Thou findest nothing; My thoughts pass not over my mouth. |

Hear my speech. | I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thy ear to me, and hear my speech. | My cry has gone up to you, for you will give me an answer, O God: let your ear be turned to me, and give attention to my words. | I I called Thee, for Thou dost answer me, O God, incline Thine ear to me, hear my speech. |
| Psalms 17:7 | Show your marvelous lovingkindness, You who save those who take refuge by your right hand from their enemies. | Show thy wonderful loving-kindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them who put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. | Make clear the wonder of your mercy, O saviour of those who put their faith in your right hand, from those who come out against them. | Separate wonderfully Thy kindness, O Saviour of the confiding, By Thy right hand, from withstanders. |
| Psalms 17:8 | Keep me as the apple of your eye; Hide me under the shadow of your wings, | Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shade of thy wings. | Keep me as the light of your eyes, covering me with the shade of your wings, | Keep me as the apple, the daughter of the eye; In shadow of Thy wings thou dost hide me. |
| Psalms 17:9 | From the wicked who oppress me, My deadly enemies, who compass me about. | From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who encompass me, | From the evil-doers who are violent to me, and from those who are round me, desiring my death. | From the face of the wicked who spoiled me. Mine enemies in soul go round against me. |
| Psalms 17:10 | They close up their callous hearts. With their mouth they speak proudly. | They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly. | They are shut up in their fat: with their mouths they say words of pride. | Their fat they have closed up, Their mouths have spoken with pride: |
| Psalms 17:11 | They have now surrounded us in our steps.
