Psalms 6:1Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath. To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave.<To the chief music-maker on corded instruments, on the Sheminith. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion.
Psalms 6:2Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are agitated.O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath.Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled.
Psalms 6:3My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh how long?My soul is also greatly disquieted: but thou, O LORD, how long?Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. My soul is in bitter trouble; and you, O Lord, how long?
Psalms 6:4Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, And save me for your lovingkindness' sake.Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: Oh save me for thy mercies sake. And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?Come back, O Lord, make my soul free; O give me salvation because of your mercy.
Psalms 6:5For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who will give thee thanks?Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake. For in death there is no memory of you; in the underworld who will give you praise?
Psalms 6:6I am weary with my groaning; Every night I flood my bed; I drench my couch with my tears.I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell? The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes.
Psalms 6:7My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my adversaries. My eye is consumed because of grief; it groweth old because of all my enemies.I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears. My eyes are wasting away with trouble; they are becoming old because of all those who are against me.
Psalms 6:8Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, For Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.Go from me, all you workers of evil; for the Lord has given ear to the voice of my weeping.
Psalms 6:9Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh will receive my prayer. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has given ear to my request; the Lord has let my prayer come before him.
Psalms 6:10May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly. Psalm 7 A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly disquieted: let them return and be suddenly ashamed. The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer.Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame.
