| Psalms 12:2 | Everyone lies to his neighbor. With flattering lips, and with a double heart, do they speak. | They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. | How long shall I take counsels in my soul, sorrow in my heart all the day? | Vanity they speak each with his neighbour, Lip of flattery! With heart and heart they speak. |

| Psalms 12:5 | "Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says Yahweh; "I will set him in safety from those who malign him." | For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. | lest at any time my enemy say: I have prevailed against him. They that trouble me will rejoice when I am moved: | Because of the spoiling of the poor, Because of the groaning of the needy, Now do I arise, saith Jehovah, I set in safety [him who] doth breathe for it. |
