Psalms 12:2Everyone lies to his neighbor. With flattering lips, and with a double heart, do they speak. They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. How long shall I take counsels in my soul, sorrow in my heart all the day?Vanity they speak each with his neighbour, Lip of flattery! With heart and heart they speak.
Psalms 12:3May Yahweh cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that boasts,The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?Jehovah doth cut off all lips of flattery, A tongue speaking great things,
Psalms 12:4Who have said, "With our tongue will we prevail. Our lips are our own. Who is lord over us?"Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?Consider, and hear me, O Lord my God. Enlighten my eyes that I never sleep in death:Who said, `By our tongue we do mightily: Our lips [are] our own; who [is] lord over us?`
Psalms 12:5"Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says Yahweh; "I will set him in safety from those who malign him."For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.lest at any time my enemy say: I have prevailed against him. They that trouble me will rejoice when I am moved:Because of the spoiling of the poor, Because of the groaning of the needy, Now do I arise, saith Jehovah, I set in safety [him who] doth breathe for it.
Psalms 12:6The words of Yahweh are flawless words, As silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.but I have trusted in thy mercy. My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation: I will sing to the Lord, who giveth me good things: yea I will sing to the name of the Lord the most high.Sayings of Jehovah [are] pure sayings; Silver tried in a furnace of earth refined sevenfold.
